What has been the fastest 1/4 time from a subaru in the Reno/ Lake tahoe area?

Dunno.

We do auto-x and track days mainly in this club. Not a whole lot of drag racing, though some have.

But didn't Phil's WRX get a 11 something in Sac?

I ran a 15 flat in a stock bug eye, at top gun, but this was back in 2003.

Phil claimed to run an 11.8 in his WRX back in the day, but no one ever saw the timing slip. However, I know that he went through about 3 gearboxes to get down that low, and ran a huge turbo on the ragged edge in that thing. I think it was legit, but he destroyed the car to get there. :lol:

That was back in '02 or so... I don't think anyone's hit the strip since then with a faster car.

At least you crossed that of your "10 things to do before I die list".

Yes, that was me. I remember thinking......" those guys prolly think I am full of shit!" as I drove away.

Pistons are heat coated on top and www.wpctreatment.com treated on the sides.

My fastest time was 10.3 but it was in a dream. I was on the show pinks. I was racing one of the horsemen of the apocalypse seated on a pale horse. I kept asking for 3 car lengths but he only agreed to give me plague and pestilence. So to make a long story short, I lost my car and now I have a subie with 9psi of boost which spits oil at random times to mock me.

Sweet looking motor! any set date on when you are going out to the drag strip ? I may be game just to go down and watch, or hell I'de like to drag race once so i can say that i did and show off probably the worst time slip ever for an STI.

I've never really seen a point in taking my RS to drag race. It'd just be disappointing. Autocross is humbling enough :P

I don't really get that feeling of a rush when I accelerate forward so drag racing is not something I have done yet. Maybe someday. Til then I'll just go fast round corners at the auto-x.
