zpeed 2007-08-31 08:10 AM

try craig list?

Kevin M 2007-08-31 08:21 AM

It's tough selling a relatively new car. :(

Emboyoyo 2007-08-31 08:46 AM

Yeah it sucks! I made flyers today to start putting around.
If I can't sell it soon then I'm gonna have to trade in and I wont get anything back from it.

Emboyoyo 2007-08-31 08:46 AM

It was in the RGJ for a week...it has a few more days on cars.com and it's on craigs list!!

100_Percent_Juice 2007-08-31 09:08 AM

what are you getting after this? an 07 with vf43?

Emboyoyo 2007-08-31 09:48 AM

HAHA no!! I can't afford this car so I need to get something cheaper...I was looking for 03-05 WRX...but it is hard to find some of them that are kind of cheap.

I GOT AN OFFER!!!:D

MPREZIV 2007-09-13 11:19 AM

Good shit! Hopefully this one will come through! They offer your asking price?

Emboyoyo 2007-09-13 11:23 AM

He seems like he really wants it...He's offering 25k in cash...which I think I will do...then i'll have 3000 left over and just save up for another car!! But if i'm gonna sell it to him it will probably be next week!!

Evo Mike 2007-09-15 01:41 AM

dude 25k cash? that's helllllla low.. I dont understand how the STi is any more "expensive" than a wrx.. you should still have warrenty and the only "additional" cost is tires.. damn that's a great deal on that car whoever gets it

Emboyoyo 2007-09-20 07:44 AM

So I got an e-mail from someone on Craigslist but the guy just wants to take over my payments :~:
But I can't do that cause then I would get NOTHING back...But the other guy i'm gonna try talking him up to 26k. He gets his settlement check soon so hopefully he'll still buy it.

100_Percent_Juice 2007-09-20 09:09 AM

Take over payments + cash. tell him thats the only way you can do it.

Don't even bother with that. Just sell the car straight... people that want to "take over payments", or trade for something, etc are usually trouble as far as getting a square deal.

Figure out your absolute minimum price, and find someone willing to pay you that much or more. It will sell. Hell, if I didn't already have 3 cars, I'd buy it myself, as it's a sweet car at a great price. Someone out there will buy it, don't muck around with lowballers.

You probably just need to get more exposure for the sale... have you listed it on AutoTrader, or in any newspapers? Hell, even try i-club... there's gotta be someone in Sac or the Bay Area that's looking for a newer STi.

Emboyoyo 2007-09-20 11:59 AM

The lowest I will go is $26,000. I made flyers and it's on craigs list and i put it in RGJ and on cars.com.
When my dad gets back from Russia we are going to put another ad in the paper and online.

Hit up NASIOC and I-Club. There are tons of interested people there, I would imagine.

Emboyoyo 2007-09-20 01:03 PM

I tried posting on Nasioc but it wont let me post anything!! I dunno why? :?:

Nick Koan 2007-09-20 01:14 PM

You have to have like 5 posts (or something) before you're allowed to make a thread on NASIOC.

Emboyoyo 2007-09-20 01:24 PM

Yeah it said I had to have 3 so I went to some threads and tried posting and it wouldn't let me do that either.

Sweet place huh? The informational sections are helpful though.

Have you seen I-Club lately? There's a reason it's a massive shit-hole compared to NASIOC's minor shit-hole (which is fairly well contained to OT)... Everyone whines about strict rules, bans, etc, but they really do help to keep things from declining into an unusable forum clogged with garbage and spam.

With the number of threads in NASIOC general, it shouldn't be too hard to go and contribute to a few of them, or ask some relevant questions. One quick conversation in an existing thread gets you the posts needed to create a classified ad.

Emboyoyo 2007-09-20 01:53 PM

Yeah i'll try it again tonight!

I don't fault anybody except for the asshat members. Most members aren't asshats, but the asshats that do post make it that way. Not much you can do with 100,000+ members though.

Now let's keep this on topic or ban.

Try these responses to get your posts up.

"Paint those sideskirts"
"Its called a pignose not a hawkeye"
"search n00b"
"IBTL"
"/thread"
"PMed." - no pm needed
"looks good, needs a drop though"

cody 2007-09-20 02:49 PM

Don't forget:

"WAPCE"
"IDP?"
"Lawlz, don't make me Picard you"
"Profit?"

sperry 2007-09-20 03:15 PM

I'd suggest those posts if you were in OT... but OT posts don't bump your post count any. Just post genuine replies. It can't be that hard to add to a conversation, can it? (But judging by the caliber of replies by 100% and cody in this thread, maybe it can. :P)

cody 2007-09-20 03:28 PM

100_Percent_Juice 2007-09-20 03:31 PM

sure Scott. Im sure that all of your 13,445 posts were good genuine posts.

Hypocrisy does not make my point invalid.

100_Percent_Juice 2007-09-20 04:25 PM

no. But it does make it fall upon deaf ears.

Where is Alex when you need him... Oh wait, he should respond in 5-7 days. :)

I suggest liberal use of the word 'fugly' in the news and rumors forum....perhaps 'mazda'
