Dean 2008-12-03 10:36 PM

Senor Cheap Bastard approved...

Bob Danger 2008-12-04 12:44 AM

Why would someone trade in a brand new car with only 8000 miles? Especially a car that is high sought after in the private market. Why take that kind of a hit financially? I'd run a back ground check on the previous owner, maybe hire a P.I, but some people call me crazy.

The Guy bought it at Lithia Subaru I work at Lithia Hyundai. The guy that bought it is a rich guy that lives in montroux. I know the guy that sold him the car he sold it to him about six months ago he tried to return it because his wife hated it so they got a santa fe. The car is clean VERY CLEAN. I still am very confused why he went from that to a hyundai but he did I drove the car today if my credit union says its a go I will let you know tomorrow. Sorry I would not be able to pass this deal on because if they resold this car it would go for around 30-32k.

Brand new '08 STis are going for 28-30k with 0% apr for 63 months... if Hyundai tried to resell it at 30-32k, it'd never sell.

ZER026D 2008-12-04 09:36 AM

There really still going for about 35k if you can show me one for for 30k I will be amazed.

knucklesplitter 2008-12-04 09:38 AM

This is a no-brainer. If you want one and can afford it - do it.

I dunno, but whatever Lithia Subaru is asking is about $4k+ too much in general.

$7000 off 08 STI w/ 0% APR for 63-months!

With the 0% financing that is as good a deal as a 8k-mile STI for $24k.

This kind of discounting can't bode well for the STI in the ongoing US recession though.

Much better deal then buying a used one for 24k IMO

I'm really tempted to try to pull the trigger on one... but with the economy the way it is, I think I should sell the SVX and the WRX first. And I'm not sure I could even find anyone to buy the WRX at a decent price because I doubt many people are buying race/track cars right now.

100_Percent_Juice 2008-12-04 03:50 PM

Part that bish out. I know someone looking for a tranny.

I'd agree the WRX would be a very tough sell right now. I'm sure that deal is going to last for a while and will probably be offered on 09's eventually if the economy doesnt turn around.

I'd bet 08 STI's will still be on the lots going into next spring since there isnt much of a market for them right now

ZER026D 2008-12-05 12:17 AM

The thing is car dealers can make sticker anything they want if its of msrp it is a good deal chances are its not. Sticker means full bump witch I bet is about 3-4k over msrp. I am getting this STI and the only reason I am getting it is that I pay 380 on my is300 right now and if I get this car I am getting it so cheap that I will only pay 490 for the is300 and the STI so two cars for the price of one.

ZER026D 2008-12-05 12:31 AM

Looking at those posts that is a good deal but I would not be able to combine my loans through subaru credit. So for me this is a real good deal.

100_Percent_Juice 2008-12-05 08:07 AM

Just get it already and bring it to a meet.

ZER026D 2008-12-08 10:45 PM

I did and I will bring it by this week.

Dean 2008-12-08 11:00 PM

Congratulations.

JonnydaJibba 2008-12-09 09:46 AM

Dang I have to come to a meet now?!
