sedonabugeye 2009-06-14 09:45 PM

i wish you could too.. it would be a good match in your car.. and thats an ej205 block.. i dont know if you want that. lol

sedonabugeye 2009-06-15 06:23 PM

this would be a good seat for someone who does auto-x

Kevin M 2009-06-15 08:00 PM

If it's FIA approved it's also good for Time Trials/Club Racing.

sedonabugeye 2009-06-15 08:13 PM

im not sure on those approvals. but it still oh so sweet!

You cannot change the seat in stock so you have to move up if you are in stock class. But it sure a nice seat.

sedonabugeye 2009-06-15 09:16 PM

then run up a class for some sweet seatness! haha

I don't know the Bride lineup, but the biggest reason you don't see a lot of them in US/european motorsports is because lots of Bride seats *don't* carry those certs. I'd carefully double check the specifics on this seat before recommending it for competition outside of autocross.

About $500 cheaper than that same 2.5 block w/ STi heads. Plus it will work w/o an STi ECU and wiring harness.

stichris 2009-06-16 02:13 PM

OH NICE

stichris 2009-06-16 02:13 PM

SO WHAT DO U GAIN FROM A HYBRID BUILD? more power or just the wireharnes

Less power, it just costs less and works w/o changing the wiring harness and ECU in a WRX to support the STi's AVCS heads.

stichris 2009-06-16 02:58 PM

nice well im not going that rout then i do wanna do a avcs delete though

Why would you want to delete the variable valve timing?

stichris 2009-06-16 03:08 PM

ahah cuz it sounds good aha just like the tgv delete sounded good but didnt do shit but make my car idle funny at start up

Uh.... what?

I can't tell if you're kidding... just in case you're not... don't "delete" the AVCS. It's important and useful.

And as far as TGV deletes... you know you should re-tune the car after the doing the delete, right?

stichris 2009-06-16 03:34 PM

yea i did and yea i was joking about avcs i know its pretty useful for sure and as far as the tgv i did do a retune and she is still acting strange !! lol maybe u can look at it for me ahah

Kevin M 2009-06-16 03:40 PM

Like Scott is saying, the Hybrid engines are strictly something for EJ20 cars. It's not a real good solution, but it does give more power than the 2.0 liter in a car that's otherwise all EJ205. The only really good reason to do it though is because you spun a bearing or killed a cylinder in your EJ205 shortblock, because it causes some other issues that aren't all that pleasant to deal with.

sedonabugeye 2009-06-16 05:24 PM

sweet thread jack.. im trying to sell a seat, not chat about what heads to buy or build. and as far as the seat i said it would be good for someone who auto-x's because of the support and side bolsters. maybe someone who wants a better look to their interior and gets some functionality from the seat.

stichris 2009-06-17 01:56 PM

hey sorry guy

sedonabugeye 2009-06-17 06:22 PM
