2011 Impreza WRX

Looks nice. I want to see the 5 Door though. http://www.examiner.com/examiner/x-1...dy-Impreza-WRX |
sexy...

Hrm. 265hp, and room for big tires... I might finally be interested in a wrx over an sti. Assuming the hatch looks better than that sedan.
|
The fender flares are a nice shot at making that car less boring, but they don't quite help enough. Hopefully the 5-door/wagon will look decent.
|
Yay! They're starting to look less and less like KIAs! Sorry, but Im still in love with the older body styles.
|
|
maybe that means they are going to have to step up the sti, since they are basically the same now

But man, the 09/10 WRX is making North of 300/300 WHP/WTQ with a TBE, BC, fuel pump and a tune. I want that '11 5-door if the lack of rear diff isn't as big of a deal in reality as it is in my head. |
|
The wing they photoshopped on looks terrible.

They (subaru) needs to offer a WRX with brakes that fit under 15" rally rims, instead of leaning on Rally-America to invent a class to allow them in a production form...
But the car looks way cool. wider track is nicer , i prefer the older Body style a lot, and the 99.3" wheel base is the hot shit! Only way I'm driving a hatch is if someone is sponsoring me with one. :) Think all the subarus i'm gonna buy from now on will be 07 or older. hmmf |
I definitely like this new body style. I feel like it's a mix between the older styles (05-07) and newer styles (08+). Kinda wish the trunk was a little longer so that the sedan actually looked like a sedan rather than a hatchback without the hatch...

Especially considering there are 4pot rally brakes available in the FHI catalog. |

Alright, the wing is back!

Looks like it's a new wing design and it looks like it's still a hatch. Pretty sure I read that the sedan was coming back, but I guess not?

That's just a shopping cart with a dropcloth thrown over it.

Maybe it's supposed to look like the new stupid IRL concept car

MY08-10 are about to get cheaper.

Drivers are going to be tearing those things in half for a long time before they get used to the rear of the car being 3 times wider than the nose they can see. |
looks like a hatch to me. Lame we are americans give us a fricken Sedan for your top model.
Subaru does still do IRS (international rally series) and R-A (which will modify their rules for Subaru's inclusion) Scott where do i find those 15" rim compatible 4 pot brakes? |

RST-2621 and RST-2632 Or you can order them straight through the Subaru dealer. They're homologated factory parts for use in rally. I'm actually running the rear brakes on my WRX to go with the front StopTechs. |
All the Subaru 4 pot brakes are the same.

I meant for the purposes of putting them under 15" wheels.

2011 STI

Merged into existing thread.
And Subaru needs to release some official pics soon. These ones aren't the most flattering for the vehicle. |

Oh come on, you know you've always wanted a purple Subaru. |
God that's ugly. Much better without the wing... but still like twice as bad as the hatchback.

The back end is not a pretty sight, and the wing just makes it look worse. Hopefully they release a hatchback that doesn't look as terrible. |

I like it much better than the hatchback, but I don't like 4-door hatchbacks in general at all. The wing does look a little ricey-aftermarketty. The skirts too. I look forward to seeing it in person and later seeing it lowered, etc.

I think it looks good. I likey.
(Then again, I drive an FJ) |

Side by side profiles. Its looking better from that angle. I think lowering it will help a bit. |
Now if they could just do something about those damn rear doors (like not having them)
Then we'de have a sick car.. Why can't they just "borrow" the prodrive P2 body style OMFG, !!! $1100 for 4 4-pot calipers? (or is that just the rear 2) and only add $200 for floating 2 peice rotors, its a lot of money... but it seems like not too bad of a deal ? |
