I have had some sti struts and tanabe springs on my forester for just over a year now and Im feeling like its a little too low and a little too rough. Ive been looking at putting my stock struts back on with swift springs.
Ive just read some good reviews online about them. They say they feel just about as comfortable as stock with a moderate increase in handling.
I was just wondering if anyone local has them and can comment.

heres a before and after

I had Swift springs on stock struts on my Legacy GT years ago. I thought they were decent enough, nothing too special. They lowered the car (perhaps a bit more than I wanted) and the ride was reasonably stock like. I remember thinking the ride felt bouncier than stock, but now that I am back to stock again, I'm not so sure that was true.

Steve, I can still get you set up on those GDA wagon struts and STi pink springs if you'd like. It should be a little less low than you are now, and would definitely ride better. Call us at the shop on Monday if you want to discuss it further and explore options.

I've heard the Swifts are the closest to a stock ride, but you don't get very low on them compared to using Impreza struts/springs. Your car looks really low in the picture, I don't know if you are going for that look or not. I'm pretty happy on my setup, Impreza struts and stock GDA wagon springs. It's not perfect for the car but it's about as low as I'd want to go on a FXT.

That reminds me, I have stock GDA springs as well.

thanks for the replies everyone. I like the look of how low it is but I am continually scraping over speed bumps and can barely go down gravel roads and its just a little less practical than I want.

Kevin, I had completely forgotten about talking to you about your old suspension. I work alot early in the week but I may come by later in the week.

This is the article that kind of got me interested in them, it makes them sound like a near-perfect compromise of comfort and handling

Just to be clear, these are WRX wagon STi springs. They will be less low than where you are now, but slightly lower than my FXTi was: http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulle...journal-78676/
