My Power Steering leak

Well, tonight I try and get under the car and address the power steering leak. It is definitely power stering since the pump started cavitating yesterday. The WRX does use normal red Dextron fluid by the way.

Anybody want to come over and help? I'm thinking I may have to turn the wheels while they are in the air again.

Say 5:30 or 6:00?

Well, I think it is fixed, though one of those pesky 8mm headed bolts ran away on me...

It turned out to be the low pressure return line where two hard lines connect just above the rack on the passenger side. It had worked its way to barely finger tight.

The challenge was getting it so we could actually get line wrenches onto the two sides of the fitting.

Ended up unclamping one of the soft lines and draining the return line so the hard line would twist down far enough to get the wrenches on and crank on them a bit.
