Image Hosting...

Edit:

Please use this thread for hosting images. If you're posting a picture for discussion, feel free to put in in its own thread and we'll discuss it, but if you're just trying to get an image online for use elsewhere, this is the place to put it.

Thanks!

Original post follows:

Can we post images here anymore? I've got a bunch of pictures I want to post for a tech write-up and it doesn't seem to have an option to attach files anymore...

sperry 2003-11-10 08:32 AM

Attachments are currently disabled. I need to lock down the addition of files to the site since there's a good chance we're going to have to move servers soon.

AtomicLabMonkey 2003-11-10 09:05 AM

Sooo... do I sit on my thumbs for now or what?

Either that, or find somewhere else to post your pictures and just [ img] link to 'em.

AtomicLabMonkey 2003-11-10 09:38 AM

If I sent you a zip file could you add 'em to the Doink gallery or anything?

Nope.. I can't add anything to the site... the only data that I'm allowing to change is the data in the database which I'm backing up frequently.

I spent several hours downloading a backup of the files on the site a few days ago, and since the site potentially could get shutdown at any moment, I don't want to lose anything that's been added since my last backup. As it is, potentially losing a day of forum posts is gonna suck.

Hopefully we'll have a new host up and running this week, I'm looking at several options.

Scott, can I e-mail you some pictures to put on the server? I want to link to them for a write-up and it would be too much of a pain to add them manually as attachments here in the forums...

My Family's Boat's.

Trying to sell the Baja. Only 90k if any of you want it

sperry 2004-07-28 08:43 AM

Woah Art, your family must have some scrilla up in thur to have boats like those! That off-shore boat kicks ass! Where'd you guys run that thing? Do they let those out on Tahoe?

AtomicLabMonkey 2004-07-28 08:51 AM

http://www.seccs.org/forums/files/thumbs/t_dsc02534.jpg

I'll take two, please.

ArthurS 2004-07-28 09:34 AM

The Grand Banks (The big comfy one) is at Tahoe right now in the Keys. They just bought it about 2 months ago. Thing is narly. It is all GPS navigated with autopilot and crap. Problem is, it only goes about 10 miles per hour. But the Baja makes up for it by doing about 65-70 on the lake and faster in the ocean. The baja is at Tahoe also.

ArthurS 2004-07-28 09:36 AM

Oh...and the boats are:

1998 Baja Outlaw 33' (35' w/ ski platform) w/ Twin Merc 502's

1988 Grand Banks 32' w/ Big ass diesel engine.

MikeSTI 2004-07-28 09:42 AM

are they really selling the Baja?

sperry 2004-07-28 09:45 AM

I'm all about the cabin cruiser... that's my kinda boat... well, I'd like a similarly equiped sailboat, but the diesel would work too.

U53D 2004-07-28 09:45 AM

ive seen a boat before... does that count?
