2006 SECCS Stickers!

1 Attachment(s)
Okay, here's what I've got so far for the stickers.

The idea is to do a "build your own" sticker. Two outter logo colors to choose from (slate and white), and two inner logo colors to choose from (red and white). This should allow for many different combinations, without requiring us to cut a ton of different colors.

The attached image shows the 4 available "parts" at the top, as well as 3 examples of assembled stickers. The outter logos are 7" x 1.5" to give you an idea on the size of these things.

I'm actually pretty happy with this layout, but if people have suggestions, now's the time to make them!

I really like the slate color, and the slanted ones, but I probably have all I need already.

What slanted ones?

tysonK 2006-01-06 03:55 PM

The url inside the large letters is what I like.

Dean 2006-01-06 04:20 PM

The ones on my car have the logo slanted/italicized left and right.

seccs

cody 2006-01-06 04:42 PM

The logo does look better italicized.

MattR 2006-01-06 04:51 PM

Yes, I'm actually going to have to agree with Dean here...I like the Slanted right Seccs like the old style.

Dean 2006-01-06 05:00 PM

So as to not confuse this thread with old logo pictures...

Slanty lefts, and rights...

sperry 2006-01-06 05:02 PM

Bump, I lined up the logos a bit better, and set them up to avoid having to cut two circles.

As far as the slanted logos... I don't like them slanted unless they slant in both directions for each side of the car. And since I don't want to print an assload of variations like last time, I was planning on doing only the non-slanted logo.

I don't know if anyone's noticed but me, but the slanted logo is pretty much non-existant on anything we've done except for the original stickers... i.e. the slanted logo has sorta died off... the verticle logo is the "official" one.

MattR 2006-01-06 05:20 PM

It still looks to "round" compared to the one at teh top corner of the site. It needs to squish down or sometehing.

dknv 2006-01-06 10:17 PM

I like the slanted ones too -- where with the right placement they are trailing behind the fastness of the car ... :)

Any troubles with using the stars, do you think?

Are you sure you're looking at the v2 image that's up there now? There was an issue w/ the 1st one I posted due to the aspect ratio of my monitor at work being a little screwy.

Man, the url with the star logo is teh sex. I'd prefer 'em in slate, though, to keep my current grayscale color scheme (white car, black trim, grey/metallic interior, slate decals, etc). I don't think I'm keen on having red decals. . .

Still, if red is all that's available, I'll use 'em anyway :P

MattR 2006-01-07 06:41 AM

The outer stickers will be in Slate (grey) and White. Scott just used black for illustration purposes.

M3n2c3 2006-01-07 11:49 AM

Who's talking black? I was talking red, or desired lack of. :P

Actually, those are slate... or rather an approximation of it... it just looks black because there's no actual black next to it. But the colors are determined by the material anyway, not by the drawing, and the slate material has a metalic quality to it that I can't replicate on the computer if I tried.

M3n2c3 2006-01-08 12:40 AM

It's the same slightly metallic slate color as the last decals, right?

Yep.

M3n2c3 2006-01-08 01:05 AM

Any chance we could get the url logo with the stars in that color, or is that getting too complicated?

Since we'll have the material, it's probably a no-brainer for us to run both the SECCS and the URL/Stars in all available colors, i.e. Slate, White, and Red. Then people can mix and match at will.
