Registration/Smog

Hey everybody,

I just moved to Reno from Colorado and I need to switch the registration for my 2002 WRX over to Nevada. I am curious what is involved in a smog test? Is it possible to pass with a 3" turbo back exhaust?

I look forward to attending some meets and getting to know some fellow Suby lovers out here.

Thanks,
Scott

Smog is pretty simple to pass. OBD2 cars really don't require anything more than the plug in ecu test. You should breeze through as long as your CEL isn't lit and the ready flags are all set in the ecu.

Smog is the easy part. Getting your license and registration at the DMV is the lame part.

I always got smogged here when I lived in Reno: https://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF8...=A&gl=US&hl=en

Like Scott said, just make sure you have no CEL and that the ECU hasn't been reset recently.
