Seņor Cheap Bastard's "Black Friday" thread.

Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving sales are coming....

But this year, some start Thursday like KMART...

HDTVs appear to be the hot ticket with 42" 1080P below $1000!

As always, deals on PCs, and other tech toys abound.

I heard on the radio that Walmart had their sale like last week or something...

I have never found any product to be worth getting up for at 4AM. . .

I've never found any product worth waiting in a Black Friday line for regardless of how early I'd have to get up.

I'll pay the 10%-50% higher price just to not have to be around 400 people like Dean that think a discount is worth the insanity.

You have to be a morning person. :P

It used to be more fun. Figuring how to get all your shopping done by 9am. Now the challenge of finding stuff cheap on the internet is more fun.

Maybe if I was employed I'd be in the market for a HDTV and more gadgets, but I am trying to keep my expenditures in line.

 My god I just laughed so hard...

I might pick up that Harmon Kardon receiver from best buy. It would complete my 1080p setup.

That too. I've worked too many Black Fridays in retail to subject myself to more pain. On friday, I will be sitting at home, nice and warm on my couch, comforted by the glow of my DLP, with my son on my lap as he watches me play more Super Mario Galaxy (which he seems to get a real kick out of). I will certainly not be standing in any lines.

MikeK 2007-11-19 08:21 PM

rally sport direct black friday sale.

eggeegg 2007-11-22 07:24 PM

wow, people already camping out at best buy as of 6:30pm.

van 2007-11-23 08:15 AM

I wonder how Dean is holding up?

GC8.Love 2007-11-23 10:49 AM

Well.. I'm lazy. I was interested in the tools and stuff at Sears, though.

van 2007-11-23 11:08 AM

Im gonna head over to frys and see if there is anything left on the shelves.

Gawd-awful materialistic consumerism gone rampant. Feeble-minded creatures trying desperately to fill their pathetic empty souls with shiny little bits of plastic and metal assembled by malnourished 3rd world pseudo slaves.

No wonder I like dogs so much.

Dean 2007-11-23 11:47 AM

I spent the morning home with 1 half of my family, headed to my dad's for the weekend.

Wasn't tempted by anything.

van 2007-11-23 01:41 PM

In my experience, a lot of them are taking advantage of the sales for christmas gift shopping. . . so they can help others fill their pathetic empty souls with shiny little bits of plastic and metal assembled by malnourished 3rd world pseudo slaves. . . for cheap. :P

Nothing but teh best for their loved ones, huh. And I'm sure they will expect nothing in return, right?

I actually went to Kohls yesterday and got some totally f-ing awesome deals on clothing for my own selfish pathetic empty soul. I'd like to just take a moment and thank 11yo Qwan Tran (aka #237) who did the stitching on that kewl shirt - my new favorite. Keep up the good work youngster, so your parents don't have to sell you to a brothel.

Happy Holidays to everyone! May your find a cornucopia of cheap shiny bits of plastic and metal under your neopagan phallic symbol on Winter Solstice morning! :D

Dean 2007-11-25 10:54 AM

We got my step mom a rocking good deal on some PC3200 RAM yesterday at Office Depot. Way cheaper than on-line which makes Seņor Cheap Bastard smile.

Circuit City has some screaming deals this week on < $500 Core Dou Notebooks if anyone is interested.

 Well done, sir

speaking of which, I have to start looking around dayton for places that sell decent/fairly priced neopagan phallic symbols. 'Tis nearly the season, and I'll need something under which to put my son's cheap plastic-y things. :D

Not really black friday anymore, but this seemed like the thread for it:

Cheap hoosiers coming soon

Damn... Hoosier wets for $95/ea!? Too bad they're only in 255/45/17... I need 40 profiled tires. :(

And no Hoosier DOT tires... but I could get some Grand-Am Cup tires for cheap! Those would be fun, even though they're illegal for TT.

100_Percent_Juice 2009-11-23 04:30 PM

BUMP for 09!
