Truck Issue

My girlfriends truck this morning died twice while driving. Just driving along and the engine would shut off. She warmed it up for awhile and everything. Its a 2005 Dodge 1500 with about 35k on the clock.

Any common reasons that stuff like this may happen? Maintance is up to date, almost time for a oil change.

Try removing all the Dodge from it?

(I'm no help)

Fuel, Air, spark... Probably one of them

Fuel:
Gas in tank
switch flipped to tank with gas
Pump
Filter
Injectors

Air:
Air filter
MAF(MAS)

Spark:
Crank Pos. sensor (personal experience)
coil(s)
Alternator
Regulator
Battery
ECU
Toast:
Bread
Toaster
Butter
Jam

(I'm not much more help...)

My work truck started doing that last year, and liz's old dodge did that to her 2 years ago. Both were lifter pump failures, but both trucks were diesel.

Alternator, battery maybe?

Well, does the engine just die, or does the entire electrical system shut down? I.E., are the dash lights and radio still working when it dies? Are there certain stipulations that make it die (coming to a stop, off throttle cruise) or is it just random?

I can prob point you in the general direction, but I'll need more info!
