I'm not going. Jonny said there was going to be a lot of new people there, and quite frankly all you new people annoy me.

I agree with Bob on this one, while you guys are talking car clubs and mergers and shit, I'm ensuring my ability to race this weekend(modern coils are on{harness hacked to shit) and it fired up!).

I was actually planning on making it, but I ended up at C&C until around 8pm finishing up the new exhaust on the SVX.

Scotty fears change! New people make him CRAZY!

Also, he wears shorts year around, and it would have been cold out there in the rain.

It's just a front..everyone's rude behind their keyboard...most of the peeps on this board are very friendly. (Even MikeK). Welcome to Reno, which city did you move from?

I completely agree. When I still had money to go to meets, I was bringing my camera and tripod just hoping that we could get some good turnouts to get a good group photo. Unless someone else wants to take it, I would be completely fine with taking the picture. Just let me know :)

+1.

Online we're cliquish and haze the new folks, but for the most part that doesn't translate in-person. New people are generally welcomed at meets (unless they show up looking for a street race  ).

'Course, I haven't been making the meets lately... maybe everyone at the meets are a-holes these days. :?:

We need to plan it. What camera do you own Dewey?

DaveWRX 2009-04-03 03:32 PM

I rally so no need for street racing, but I moved from Sonora. When is the next meet? And where?

I have a Nikon D80, and a Canon 30D with Speedflashes, Tripods, Remote Shutter Switches, and a few lenses here and there... I got into photography about a year before I found autocross..

100_Percent_Juice 2009-04-03 06:17 PM

My wife currently has a Nikon D2x and a Cannon 5D. I really want to get a remote shutter switch. Do you find that you use yours often?

DaveWRX 2009-04-03 08:36 PM

Anybody up in the cold springs area

I was helping someone move.

And after two weeks of out-of-town conferences, I was getting a little burnt. :|

Ooh nice. I bought mine for about $20 for the Nikon, and $35 for the Canon. Since I use the Nikon much more, and I really like to take prolonged exposure pics, I use them about every other day I go shooting. They are also really nice for the rare occasion that you take group photos. Haha.

ebay, should be under $10... Assuming you need a USB one like my Fuji. If it has a threaded shutter button, a classic cable or air one will work and they are even cheaper.
