War.
Looks like it's imminent.
|
For some reason, I have chosen not to watch the news or listen to it. I figured it was coming, but I am so focused on work and studing for my financials license, that I just kinda of put it aside.

Hmmm... I'm going to predict it will kick off Thursday night/early Friday morning, Iraq local time. Any other predictions?
|
Prediction: One of the most difficult issues will be the logistics of handling the vast number of Iraqi POW's. Action hasn't started and they are already surrendering. Pray for a quick end to this mess. I have students over there and want to see them again...soon.
I just pray that SH doesn't use "slime" weapons...it will result in a greater fury. |
Well... I've been on the fence about wether or not this war is a good idea. But my opinion no longer counts, since we're in the shit now.
So, good luck to all our soldiers... kick some ass, and come back soon! Hopefully the fliers we've been dropping instructing the Iraqis on "how to surrender" will work so they can be easily managed. I figure we'll be flying over Baghdad, and dropping cruise missles Wed night / Thurs morning. Tanks should be over the border by the weekend. Let's pray there's no fight in the Iraqis. Urban warefare in a city as big as Baghdad is gonna suck. |
We just fired off heavy artillery strikes into southern Iraq... looks like this ground war is gonna come hard and fast. MLRS strikes... *shudder*

I just saw like 8-min. long footage of a firefight in Baghdad on MSNBC from earlier today.. freakin hardcore man. Looked like something out of a movie but it was the real deal. There was no reporter, just a cameraman that was along with this unit that had orders to take over a few intersections in the city.. they got ambushed and all hell broke loose for like 5 hours. You could hear the fire going back and forth, guys running around.. "AMMO, AMMO!!" "MEDIC!" they were carrying a guy back to the medic station on a stretcher and he was firing his rifle laying down cover *from his stretcher* as they ran him out.. jesus. A supply convoy came in to resupply them with ammo and fuel and the iraqis hit a couple of the trucks with RPGs.. all the ammo inside started cooking off right next to fuel truck.. nasty fight.
