I will KILL anyone that wastes their time and money seeing this movie. In fact, I will go out and BUY Torque to host a movie night with if it prevents anyone from wasting their time on that WalMart-esq common denominator, zero-plot, candy-coated, TRASH known as fucking Harry Potter. (I saw the 1st one and only Battlefield Earth made me want to tear my own eyes out more.) :x

Sorry you feel that way. To each his own

Anyone interested but in fear of the wrath of Scott, feel free to PM me to discuss.

After watching the second one I was pretty disappointed with the series. I really wanted the second one to be a different film than it was. It was so much like the first I had a hard time getting through it. This may be due the fact that first two are Chris Columbus films BLAH! the Prisoner of Azkaban has a new director thank god, Alfonso Cuarón. While I am tempted to see this I think I am going to wait it out for DVD, I would do a matinee if I could get out of work, but alas it doesn't look like I can.

It has actually gotten very good reviews, and may well be the best one yet. Matinee pricing is why we are going early. All atendees will remain anonomous... We will give out colors as names ala Reservoir Dogs at the meet... And yes, I just used a Quentin Tarantino refernce in a Harry Potter thread. Hopefully Scott's head just exploded and we are all safe to watch any movie we want without fear of death. :alien:

Here's the world's smallest viloin playing for the Torque-meister...

dknv 2004-06-07 10:28 PM

I'm surprised at you guys, I thought you had open minds. All Torque and no play / pretend movies, makes Jack a dull boy...

Kostamojen 2004-06-07 11:13 PM

If any of you liked any of the LOTR movies, you will like this Potter movie. I definatly ranked it way up there for one of my favorite movies in the past few years.

Its not a children movie for sure, very adult, very dark, and a very good, quality story line. Its far easier to relate to the charecters in the story in this movie, as they arent so young anymore and not concerned about fitting in or anything of the like. Very good movie, I dont want to be more specific though or I will ruin it.

I am going to agree with you. I found this installment very different than the first two movies. Alot of unexpected twists in the plot as well exellent character development in this one. Dean, you should enjoy it.

Come & keep your promise, sperry... put me out of my misery now.
I saw it and I liked it! Definately NOT a little kid's movie. There were parts that made me tense!

tysonK 2004-06-08 11:00 PM

you want another movie not ofr kids?

Dogville!

I saw it tonight, and it is like nothing I have ever seen.

sperry 2004-06-08 11:28 PM

...you will all DIE! Not to day, not tomorrow... but someday, I will extract my revenge! :P In fact I'm willing to bet that within the next 70 years or so, YOU'RE MINE!!

Nick Koan 2004-06-09 04:38 PM

What is it about driving cars that makes you all such assholes?

Kostamojen 2004-06-09 07:06 PM

What none of us know, is that when Scott was a child, he was picked on by another kid who looked just like Harry Potter...

Not only that, Scott is actually a second cousin to Peter Pettigrew
