I still get cravings to head over to Toys-R-Us and buy a few sets of the Technics Legos! Too bad they cost like $60 per kit! |

Legos have the suck now. It's practically impossible to build anything other than what's on the box because of all the "special" pieces that come from all the licensing. I remember when I was a kid I got this bigass 1000 piece set, and it was all generic shapes and stuff. I could build anything with those. Now, you gotta choose between Star Wars, Pirates, Space explorers... no imagination left in them. :(

That movie rocked. Now I need to go see Spiderman, so I can go see Spiderman 2.

What Scott said... I am the product of a Lego family, and look how I turned out... OK, bad example... :)
You can still get classic legos, and if you go to garage sales, you can get tons for cheap... My brother is still a Lego head, and he is 6 years older then me. He has a kid, so he has all our classic stuff, as well as tons of new. I think there is basically a whole rum devoted to Legos, and trains, and Lego trains... The Lego movie I like the best is the Camelot scene from "The Holy Grail" http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gte548z/camelot.htm |

I still have a big tub full of mostly generic Legos that I am saving for my future (very far distant future) kids. I'm convinced that in ten more years or so, Legos will be so specialized that they'll practically be the same as snap together plastic models, and they won't have any more regular blocks at all.
