Hella FF1000's rule!

Well I lost one of my Hella 500 driving lights to a stone somewhere, so I was looking for some replacements. I know you can get replacement lenses for the Hellas at Rallylights.com, but I wanted more light output. I splurged and got a set of the FF1000 driving lights, and they are unbelievable. About $130 shipped for the set. They are big, but I made some custom aluminum brackets for them and they fit fine. If anyone needs to vaporize small animals, these are what you need. They seem 10 times better than the 500s were. I highly recommend these to any of you guys that like to do some backroad night driving. If I can get hold of a digicam, I'll take some pics for you all.

Sweet Khail! I was actually looking to upgrade my lights soon. BTW, I think we (I) are trying to organize a mid-week PM meet for pizza, dinner whatever. You're off mon & Tue??? I want to make sure we meet on a night where you can make it. That way we can check out those lights. I really like the way the black-outs look on JC's car. But I don;t think I could ever make those fit. Anyway, later

we are talking about fog light replacements or those other little driving lights additions :?: noob here.

Matt, Wednesdays are best for me. I'm off Thursday too, but so is my GF. But if it's after 5:30 during the week or after 4:00 weekends, I can be there. And I'm pretty sure I could make those Black Magics fit with some brackets. They are about the same size as FF1000s, just not as deep. I have more aluminum sheet left, if you want we can try it. They will have stick out farther than the stock fogs, though. So foglight covers would not fit anymore if you ever wanted to get those.

dcfc03, these lights are where the stock fogs would go. I never had the factory fogs, they are an option on the 2.5RS. I had a pair of a Hella 500 driving lights in there, but one cracked. I also have Sylvania Xenarc HID lights in the lower grill opening, and I have a light bar that mounts to the bumper with a pair of Hella FF200 fog lights and a pair of generic 6" driving lights on it. With the light bar on, I have 10 forward facing lights, including the headlights. That's about 500 watts worth. When I turn them all on, you've never before seen a scarier sight!
