me vs '94 Integra LS

Okay, so a friend of a friend just bought his car ( 94 Integra ) literally, just 2 days ago. He immediately began talkin smack about how just becuase he has exhaust, headers, and an intake, he could take my RS. I kinda of waved it off and thought i'd give him a chance. So we drove around and found a good stop out in the middle of no where and i had my brother flag us to run. The first run, from a dead stop, about a half a car length in 1st and 2nd gear, and then by 3rd, I took him by a good car and a half. Just totally laughed in his face. He thought he did something wrong so we did it again. Same thing, beat him by a car length and then some. We got up to about 85 mph or so and he was through after i just stomped his ass!! Only mod i have in my car right now is a CAI. By friday, i will have my stromung cat-back and hopefully my borla headers. It was fun. :D

Please kill this thread.

We do not encourage this type of activity.

Take it to the track.

Nuff said.

no no.... it wasnt public, we went rural. no worries :D

I'll leave it to the moderator's discretion, but I can speak for myself.

I have no interest in "Kill" stories. Friend, or not, "rural" or not.

I'm not impressed.

I can only assume after your mods you will feel the urge to "test" them and tell us about it.

IMHO there are other forums for that, not here. While we are not corner carvers, we are trying to promote proper use of our vehicles, and only racing where it is approriate, at the track.

My $.02.

But aren't you? His friend was in another car...so if he or his friend screwed up...wouldn't they be endangering each other?

U53D, sorry I know you won't see it my way, but there are no kill stories on this board for a reason...A rural road is still a public road...Yes driving fast is tons of fun, just don't bother posting a kill on SECCS>

Just to reitterate the Announcement on the Suby Chat forum:

Quote:

This forum (and message board in general) is primarily to facilitate meet planning and to help each other make technical decisions regarding car care and upgrades. While "kill" stories do provide some basis for comparisons as to what helps a make a car faster, they aren't totally reliable due to the tremendous number of variables found on the street, especially the skill of the "other" driver.

Also, people are feeling offended by these stories, and since I personally think excessive driving on the street isn't worth the potential for catastrophy, let's just keep them off the board. As the operator of this board, I feel uncomfortable if there are posts that might instigate someone into driving unsafely. However, I'd love to hear about spotting sweet cars in the area, I just don't care who was faster. Take it to a track and *then* let us know what happened under more controlled conditions.
The bottom line is, we've had this discussion here before, and the club has decided that we do not wish to support illegal or unsafe racing. If you wish to participate in these activities, please dissassociate yourself with SECCS. The club works very hard to provide assistance in legal alternatives, from SCCA autocross, to track days, to drags at the strip. Please, take it to the track.
