Subaru Impreza recall-Seat Rail bolt
Did you 02/03 owners get this recall notice from Subaru?
It cracks me up that they state "Subaru has determined that the left front bolt....may loosen & possibly fall out ... there is the possibility that the seat may separate from the seat slide rail in a crash, which would pose a safety hazard to the driver." Duh! I guess the good news is that they got these notices out. |
I know 3 people who've had that problem.

I've already had to tighten mine. What the hell do they do for the recall, lock-tite it? |
Mine was loose as well a couple weeks back. I wonder what they do as well. And why isn't it an issue with the passneger side?
Lock washer, Maybe? |
Haven't had a issue, nor have I received a notice of recall.

Just more proof that WRXs suck.
|
notice says this affects some 'Impreza' vehicles. What's the RS?
|
An RS isn't an 02/03, not a real one at least. :P (no offense dr. funk)

They really should have dropped 'RS' and gone back to 'L' for '02. It's slower than the old RS, has fewer features standard, and most importantly, it's now the "base" model Impreza. sounds like an L to me...

Someone has to represent non-turbo bugeyes around here! I guess that's me, since I think I'm the only one who has one.

Who is this other, Yoda?

I thought Yoda says that on Dagobah, right after Obi-Wan says "That boy is our last hope", in ESB when Luke leaves his training to rescue Han and Leia and Chewy.
|
Oh, and my seat bolts are fine, if anyone wants to know.

I never remember hearing Vader say it, I'm going to go watch it right now. Not that I don't believe you, I just can't believe I missed it.
