The reason he thinks the track is boring is because he's going to a 1/4 mile track. I have to agree... that is boring... try turning. :P

<insert racer's pyramid here>

I'm happy to say I've moved up from the AutoX tier to HPDE tier. I can't wait to be a full fledged track whore! BTW: I am now looking for a 2nd job to afford new brakes.

To answer this question, we must read between the lines...
Doesn't capitalize "I" even after a period or use apostrophes means < 20

Has been exposed to the Doobie brothers " take[n] it to the streets" means over 30, and likely over 35 or more likely, parents are.

Attempts to be cool by dropping occasional letters like IM speak/street, but not consistant, or "correct" in usage means he is <16.

"been to the track, BORING."... "been", not raced, run, dragged, etc. Means his parents took him and he wasn't allowed to bring his friends. <16

"thats where the party is" Has clearly never been to a street race, or a party where alcohol is served other than to his parents, <16

"hell i dont cut my car loose that much" means he doesn't own/have a car, much less a license/permit. <15.5

Taking all the data into consideration, I would guess 14-15 tops.

For all the same reasons, this is clearly also a lie. I might be willing to believe he has been driving 3 months, 6 tops, but would still bet he doesn't actually own a car, and at most drives his parents, but more likely doesn't . <=16.

See Dean your flaw in logic is you try to apply Subaru owner standards to SRT-4 owners. SRT-4 owners don't act their age, if they did they would buy a real car.

Nick Koan 2004-09-01 10:21 PM

you got a link to this thread?

I don't know JC, I stick by my contention that he doesn't even own a car much less an SRT-4... See if you can find a post of a picture of "his" car, and I bet you can find it somewhere else with Google...

not to be a dick, but i'll defend the SRT-4 to anyone. That car is one hell of a machiene. I have a video of a stock one rocking a modded black WRX. 3'' exhaust, intake, yada yada yada.

Anywho, does this kid live in reno?

Nope, he's only posted in the one thread.

I don't think anyone is calling the SRT-4 a bad machine, we're just generalizing about the drivers.

No the only guy I know with an SRT-4 in Reno is Caesar and he seems real cool, not a huge tool like this fool.

"...they'd buy a real car." Yes, the drivers CAN be somewhat homo, but you get that with WRXs as well. DSM's probably have the most homo drivers if you want me to be honest. Damn kids.

Anywho... who has the red SRT4 that goes to the meets? He caught me tonight un-tuned... held him off tho

ArthurS 2004-09-02 06:31 AM

The Red SRT-4 is Carlos...if I am not mistaken

Re: the SRT-4 being a good or bad car. IMO, It's an awesome motor, tossed into a crappy car. I'm not saying it looks bad or anything, I'm just saying that if you really wanted to make use of that motor, you'd put it in a RWD platform.

Dodge should have made a new body for that thing like they're doing with the SRT-6, SRT-8 and SRT-10. A light, cheap, RWD sports sedan.. then sell a n/a and turbo model... it could have been the new AE86! Then leave the Neon as a means for basic transportation... it does a great job in that roll.

So, I'm not really knocking the SRT-4... it's pretty sweet for what it is... but it could have been so much more... and perhaps there'd be less 'tards out there that buy 'em cause they're cheap then act like they've got the best car since sliced bread.
