How does this color look?

Im starting to paint my '78 wagon, but Im not sure about the color... I was just going to keep the beige, but I really want blue and now is the time to do it since im doing all this body work and the engine is out...

Anyway, I tried this krylon blue but it seems a bit too bright:

So I think ill go with a darker, metallic blue that I picked up from home depot... I try it out tommorow and see how it looks.

From the pictures it looks really bright! Maybe it's because it cast against those other dull colors.

Naw, thats about how bright it is...

Gross, tone it down a bit IMO.

I did, I painted it a nice darker metallic blue. Ill have pics in the morning.

Here are the pics. As you can see, its a much darker blue than that other blue. More like an R2 D2 blue :p

RBP-ish, with more flake. Not that bad.

JC 2004-09-21 06:28 PM

MUCH better. When is it gonna be put back together?

Kostamojen 2004-09-21 06:36 PM

God knows when... I only get to occasionally work on it in my spare time. Luckly my mom seems to like doing some of the detailed body work (gives her something to do) but I still have to put the engine back together and get it back in, along with some other serious body work that needs to be done (holes in the roof)

I just need some little scoops and it would be perfect.
