I know most of you say that you dont like racing in a straight line, but a friend of mine in town with his first generation DSM ran a 11.8@120mph this weekend in the quarter. I think that's pretty damn fast.

He run that up here?

Jesus, what turbo does he have on that? Shiv ran an 11.8@126 in his Evo, and that has an HKS GT3037 .73 A/R IIRC. Is your friend running nitrous?

As far as I know he has a 16g. Fast eh? I dont *think* he's running nitrous, but I know he probably had C16 in it. I raced him on the street the other night and I beat him, and my car isn't an 11 second car. He had to change something. I'll find out what's up.

We have a street racers forum. I havn't told any of you about it since you guys bash street racing so much. You guys should try it out tho... a bunch of guys get together (some with awesome cars and awesome tuning abilities) and we street race. We try to stay away from the "F&F" croud. We also use DSM tuners. But you guys still rock :!:

That subject has been discussed at length on this board and judgement has been pronounced, as you well know. It doesn't need to be discussed any further.

I'm actually really curious about other local boards...just to see what the buzz around town is, I really have no interest in street racing, but it's cool to see what other car clubs have going...Someone told me that there was a local honda club, but I've never seen them..

Well, I'm the last person who would have anything constructive to say about the street scene, as you've seen, I'm a strong advocate for the track only...But I'm always interested in other points-of-view, regardless of my opinion. I wouldn't mind checking it out though.

So you're saying your group is seperate from the Circus that hangs out in Front of Circuit City, Longley, etc? That's cool if that's the case, that's more a car show than anything else, you guys are smart to avoid that rap...

It's nothing personal - I just thought it had been made pretty clear in the past (by the board owner in particular) that this group & this board are not about street racing.
