Hey Guys !!! (Ofcourse With our MODERATOR SPERRY's advise/permission)What do you all think about getting a bit more Organized and getting T-shirts/Sweaters Made with a "team" Logo ???
Bellow is a sample of what you might think a logo might look like....
Please examine and add your Opinions ..
Ps: Ofcourse at the top or to the side of the T-Shirt/sweater we can/will have the "DOINK" Trademark or something to the effect of "RASO" AKA "Reno Area Subaru Owners"
Thanks in Advance ;)

Personally, that would be tight. I have thought of making up some business type cards for distributing purposes. I meet so many poeple with WRX's or 2.5 RS's, I wish I could just give them a card and say 'go here'.

Is that going overboard?

BOO 2003-04-19 11:35 PM

WELL.. That was my next Project... I was just easying my way into your minds .. but Yeah!!! That would be awesome .. I wonder if we can go to like Kinkos or something like that and get a package deal with "T's" W/Cards... How does that sound ...???

sperry 2003-04-21 08:03 AM

T-shirts and cards would be awesome! I'm not excited about the cartoony logo... aparently the guy thqat draws those is a hardass about using his stuff royalty free... plus it's a little too NOPI played out.

We should try to come up with somthing original!

BTW: I like the whole "RASO" thing... or how about

"Reno Area Subaru Enthusiast Registry: RASER"

naaah... RASO's better.

I added a poll here.

Digging up old threads and I found this one..
I like it because it SOMEWHAT gives me a bit of credit for startin' the whole Tshirt/Hoodies Idea ;)

Ps: showed my wife and she said: "Hmm, Indeed you brought something to the SECCS table...

I really like the past work that was done on the track day shirts as well as the sweat shirts people were wearing at the last meet.

I agree w/ Scott on the cartoony look. You know, my wife has an awesome embroidery machine. She may be able to do an embroidered logo on a shirt or hat for us. All she needs is a jpeg of the image.

sonicsuby 2004-10-24 09:29 AM

If you guys end up doing another round of shirts, what would you think about a joint SRIC/SECCS shirt? I love my SECCS sweat shirt, and I would love an SRIC shirt, so one shirt that is both would rock :)

That would be very cool, even if we provide our own shirts or whateverr.

Something embroidered that I can wear to work would be cool. (Non T-Shirt) Polo, Henley, Button Down...

Any idea how much it would cost for her to do per shirt?

Get me a shirt of your choice and a jpeg image and we'll do a test. I'm sure she would be extremely reasonable. The test would be free (Dean get's the test since I owe you for the ECU use). Once we figure time out, she can come up with a cost.

I think a simple variation of the mountain logo maybe with a simple Wingless bugeye graphic under the mountain would be a good option for a shirt pocket type embroidered logo... :D

Hmm it seems as though Sperry already had a hint of ricer/racer(RASER) in him from way back... lol

Dean 2004-10-25 05:46 PM

So, SPerry, can you throw something resembling a Subaru under the mountain in the logo?

Libila 2004-10-25 05:53 PM

How would I go about getting one of these shirts or sweatshirts? I've seen them on people at the meets, the logo is great.

Unless I am mistaken, there are none left right now.
You will need to wait until the next batch which may or may not be what we are discussing... :)

Libila 2004-10-25 06:01 PM

Alright. I'll keep checking back for updates.

sperry 2004-10-26 08:47 AM

I'm working on an updated logo for a new batch of sweaters.

Hopefully we've got enough money in our accounts to get a batch of hoodies made w/o getting money up front. However, since MattR's our treasurer, and his friend is the sweater guy, I'm sure we won't have time to get the batch done before Matt leaves for New Zealand at the end of the week. But we should have a logo good to go when he gets back in two weeks.

dknv 2004-10-26 08:51 AM

fwiw, I liked the old logo. I'd rather not have a cartoon logo....

So did someone get a jpg to Nick for his wife to try some embroidery?

IIRC, I shot down the cartoon logo like over a year ago. :P

The logo on the 1st sweater was litterally my 1st ever drawing in Adobe Illustrator. Since I've done like 3 T-Shirts since then, I've learned a lot, and I can make the sweater a bit better. It won't be drastically different, but it will be updated.

Besides, if we just re-use the original logo, then the sweater's won't become "original SECCS hoodie" collector items! ;)
