Windshield Replacement

I need to replace my windshield. I called Triumph Auto Glass. Spoke with Alyssa. She quoted me $221.00 with the shade strip on top, $194.00 without.

They carry/use glass made by P.P.G. L.O.S. and Carlex (sp) amongst others.

She stated if I wanted the OEM from Subaru, it would possibly be closer to $728.94!!

All of these prices are installed, in my driveway..

She further stated she/her company does all of the windshield work for Lithia Subaru.

Does anyone have any experience on this topic?

Thanks,

Franz

$721 divided by $221 = 3 chances to get it right before you stop saving money. :P

You can also ask Chris (murphy on the board), his Dad does autoglass repair.

Franz,

I have a 25$ off coupon for Triumph. They come to my office all the time. Great people and they do great work.

Just did the Audi windshield, cheapest was either Action glass, or maybe Cascade. done in my driveway with new seal. I'll check when I get home. Good clean install, and glass is actually better than Audi glass. (fewer ripples as seen through polorized lenses.)

Great point! Unless it is in the driver's normal line of sight, wait until spring.

That very thought is why I haven't been in a hurry. The windshield has been damaged for about 2 months now. The offending "spot" isn't in line of site. I think I'll wait.
