Wow!! That is amazing so many red Ferraris. It a large scale master piece. I would have loved to be there when no one was around. All the people in the pictures distroyed them. It would have been so cool to see the never-ending line of Ferraris.

On a side note does anyone remember what a large piece of art is called. Like when an artist covers the entire face of a mountain with ribbon. There's a special term for it, but I forgot it.
These beautiful red cars remind me of that kind of art.

Could you imagine the insurance cost of someone tossing $10 in loose nickels into the air over that parking lot?

Do you mean like the artist Christo? He was an environmental/earth artist that did these wacky installations all over the world: wrapping buildings, islands etc.

Yes that's exactly what I mean. Isn't there a special name for that kind of art?

doubleurx 2004-11-11 01:15 PM

No that was Marko Everistti (did a search). Christo generally stuck to white plastic............made him famous.

doubleurx 2004-11-11 01:28 PM

I've only heard them referred to as "installations" or "enviroart". I'm sure there is another name for it though.
