25 Hours of Thunder Hill, Dec. 4-5

So, who's up for making the trek to Willows in a couple weeks to check this event out? Tentatively, I'm thinking we make it there Saturday morning before the 12 noon green flag, head back to Sac around 5 for the meet, crash at the usual spots, and get back up early Sunday morning to watch the last few hours before the 1 PM checkered flag? Anybody else interested?

bump... nobody? Come on, I thought you guys were like, into cars and racing and stuff?

This is supposed to be a pretty cool race, wish I could go.

Libila 2004-11-22 10:18 PM

I plan on signing up with these guys- http://www.speedventures.net/11-27-2004_event.asp

Price is $300 for both days, or $220 per day with a $30 per day charge for instructors if wanted. If I get two more people to come, we get a group discount. Who's in? I'm driving my stock 88 civic

No track days for me until February at least. But, this event is just to go spectate... I was hoping to get a decent grooup together to go check this out. It's a neat event and wouldn't cost us much to go see two days of racing. I've heard good stuff about speedventures though, good luck out there. 8)

I'm really interested, but I've got conflicting plans.

MattR 2004-11-23 08:53 AM

It looks like I will be in SAC that weekend as it is  so there's a good chance I'll head out to Thill to check it out.

sperry 2004-11-23 09:27 AM

I'm not opposed to going to check it out. I'm just not willing to write it into my callendar just yet, since I'm already planning on being in Sac the weekend right after that. Too much Sac makes a man feel a little ghey.

Libila 2004-11-24 12:04 AM

Sorry, I had my days mixed up. The open track event is this weekend, not the weekend of the 4-5. My mistake.

Nick Koan 2004-11-24 11:44 AM

If you go, you'll get to see this EJ20 powered mid-engine prototype car

I didn't know that thing was a two seater...either that or the driver has two heads.

MattR 2004-12-02 01:43 PM

Hey...Looks like SSquared will not be ready to do my reflash this weekend...So I'm not going to SAC now. Kevin, who else is going? Make sure someone takes some pictures.

Kevin M 2004-12-02 01:54 PM

Looks like just me and Deede. I'll take pics if you loan me your camera. :D

I am pretty used to carrying oversized things around. I learned to deal with it long ago...

I have a smaller digital camera, it just needs batteries.
