The thing they bagged on is a legitimate selling point. Tein's damper's aren't all that great design-wise, but their QC and customer service are good. They also do a good job of matching damper rates to spring rates.

Kevin you need to drive one of our cars I dont care the haters are saying with rear sway my car friggin rocks 8) I will let drive it during autox season you cant say antthing until you drive either my or mikes car same set up as far as suspension goes :!: But I also think that topmounts pink Sti and f/r end links and last but not least the rear sway is the best dollar for dollar way to go 8)

Bilstien Struts wrapped in Ground Control custom springs If I remember correctly, and yes, it rails.

For what you pay, Teins are great, don't get me wrong. Another thing in the Tein's favor is the adjustability you get- I didn't see how much (if any) adjustment the dampers on the H&Rs have. But on the flip side, they're a great deal for about $1000. Personally, I'll either be going with Cusco Zero-2Rs or some badass custom double adjustable setup from Nate, depending on how much less I can get the custom stuff done for. My point about the Tein dampers was that that is where they reduce cost. H&R's shortcoming is adjustability, and their less than stellar ability to match suspension to non-Honda/VW cars. Something's gotta give if you want good coilovers under $2500, and that's where Tein does it.
