Anybody want a Snow Blower
And, no, that is not what you can get this weekend over on 4th st. :D
Don't have full details, but they are Ryobi/MTD 5HP, 21" electric start, single stage. Barely used...Probably about $200 each. Retail new about $500. Anybody want one. Coming from So Cal. Matt, can you hook us up with shipping? Should be fine for Reno snow. |
Wait, you found someone selling multiple, "barely used" snowblowers... from SoCal? Hey, that's not shady at all! Hook us up! :P
|
yeah, I'm interested, and of course we can hook up shipping...I'm the King!
For $200 Bucks why not...You could probably bring it up here and sell for 400 easy. Let me know Dean. |
What is going on here.
Some kind of cool snowblower s0-cal / reno cartel. |
FYI: single stage means wimpy deck snowblower. 2 stage is the typical blower you see everywhere. I have a single stage honda 5 hp that I bought brand new in Truckee for $500. It's great for decks, but on uneven pavement or heavy snow it does struggle.
Single stage: One set of augers that break up snow and shoot through funnel. Two Stage: Two sets of augers that break up snow and send through a third auger/fan through funnel........way better. Also, single stage are generally not self propelled. |
Thanks for the comments. I know 2 stage is better, but getting into one of those for under $500 is pretty tough, even used.
The single stage appear to mostly have reinforced "rubber" augers that help propel them forward at least. I think they will do for Reno snow which is usually 6" or under a couple times a year. I would never have anything less than treaded 2 stage for your area. |
Here may be a decent deal on a Reno sized blower if it stays under say $120-150
