I am pretty sure some of you have seen this but Each and Everytime I see this I DROOL!! 8)

MikeK 2005-01-03 11:33 AM

I found this a while ago, this car looks awesome. Everything on that car could be added to a US evo (and probably cheaper too) except the active yaw control. I wish Mitsubishi would bring that out here.

So when are you getting your MR Sergio?

MikeSTI 2005-01-03 02:34 PM

 FQ400 = 4 miles to the gallon on the track

hope it got a bigger tank

10.5 gallons is only 42 miles before you have to fill up again and with what? 100 octane standard :?

Minor changes to the body..
So who knows If I am gonna wait for that or get something else...

No, nobody cares if their Evo gets 15 mpg on the way to the racetrack. The problem is, 42 miles on a racetrack in an Evo FQ400 takes like35 minutes. ;) The average Club trackday gives you 120-140 minutes of track time. That's a lot of fuel stops.

"The tack day was cheap at $200..............but the gas ran me another $200+"

dont get me wronge Sergio, The car is sick

I do agree with the guy though about the lower model being the one to buy for the dailly driver, I would hate to be stalling all the time

I think it was only a few second off the FQ400 anyways, which will be more like the MR or new Evo IX

BOO 2005-01-04 09:46 PM

True.. But for a guy like me that never takes it to the track?? It's like who cares if it does crappy on gas
It's just a cool car to have .. sh$& I have that same problem now with the evo not getting the best gas mileage ..lol

MattR 2005-01-04 10:28 PM

That really is excellent to see. Quite an amazing car...however, I'd have to agree, that thing would be miserable to drive around on a regular basis..It would sure be fun for hill-climbs, track, solo 1, and general spirited driving though...

Evo Mike 2005-01-08 04:01 AM

sadly, i just watched that video.. hell that flashy light radio makes the US spec one look like shit.. sad to say... and those seats! drool.. anyway, he said the fq320 was the best bang for the buck.. luckily that's about what i have

doubleurx 2005-01-08 08:36 AM

That and the 6 sp plus the "ACD" ;)

Kevin M 2005-01-08 03:35 PM

Did Mitsu solve the problems with the 6 speed yet? They had a lot of issues with them in Japan.

BOO 2005-01-08 09:40 PM

You know I hope so because It reminds me of the problem with the TBE with the STi's.. It doesnt make any sense for either car maker to have cars of that caliber and not go through rigorous testing before bringing it to the market, especially the U.S. market...

They must have done something with them because the evo 9 due out here at the end of the year supposedly had the 6 speed as standard.

tysonK 2005-01-10 11:31 AM

It's all about the EVO IX now!

:)

Evo Mike 2005-02-05 12:51 AM

i think i've seen that video before.. The top gear dude chose the yellow evo.. am i right? BUT he states it's from a drivers perspective. If he choosing it from an every day driver point of view.. the audi won ( i think).. but then he goes on to say something like.. "but that's not what we're looking at" or something..
