In case you missed them last time, CompUSA is blowing out 802.11g stuff again...
802.11g 4 port router $4.99 after rebates. 802.114 PCI, PCMCIA, USB 2.0 adapters. $9.99 each Bottom left corner of: http://compusa.shoplocal.com/compusa...2&pagenumber=1 Also, They have 2 add-on antennas for routers or PCI cards that will greaty increase range and signal quality. The omnidirectional ($4.99 after rebates) is best if your router/AP is in the middle of the house, the directional ($9.99 after rebates)if it is in a corner of the house, or for a PCI card to connect to a distant router. Bottom middle of: http://compusa.shoplocal.com/compusa...2&pagenumber=2 |
By the way, they have a bunch left. If you don't see them inteh network isle, look around the corner on the endcap on the back end of the isle.

I could use a booster antenna here. I lose my connection on occasion.

As long as your router, or PCI card have a screw on antenna, either should work. The directional is much better in terms of gains, but is limited to a 80 degree sweet spot.

Damn, I need a g router. Maybe they'll still have them when I'm in Reno on thursday.
