The Last autocross

Looks like I'll be back up there this weekend. My friend just bought a Mini Cooper S. Whooooo! That thing is pretty fun to drive. I was playing with it on the on ramps here. Weeee!!1 So I talked her into auto-x'ing it this weekend. :D I'll get to co-drive, so exciting.

I'm pissed. I have to miss this one.

What a spectacular freakin' twist of fate. . . my inventory is scheduled for sunday. :furious:

Don't feel bad, after all my fuss of trying to get my springs in to race this weekend, It's gonna take a miracle for me to be able to race on saturday. I have to be at work by Noon on saturday and work all day on Sunday. I'm gonna try to squeeze my runs in Saturday morning.

Joeyy 2005-09-29 07:11 AM

See ya Sat for my first try.

For anyone who is not in the running for a season trophy, and who wants seat time and practice, I would suggest running both morning and afternoon as a Novice, or "Run No Points"

Most of us run for points in the afternoon both days, but would be happy to ride with you in the morning and help you out. At least, those of us up and awake and at Stead...

If you plan to run in the moriing, plan to be ther between 8:00 and 8:30 to get your car teched, and walk the course once or twice.

I'd be happy to give a guided course walk at some point.

If you are new and are running in the morning, I would suggest getting there well before 8:00 so that you can walk the course 5 or 6 times. It will really help!

Good luck Joeyy, it's a blast.

On a side note, I spoke too soon. I will not be able to go to Reno this weekend. I have to work overtime. :(

You are such a tease... We will miss you. Send your friend with the Mini anyway...

Pat R. 2005-09-29 12:49 PM

I'll be enjoying me some SuperMoto on Saturday so I'm in for Sunday only. I will probably RNP AM & PM.

MikeK 2005-09-29 01:06 PM

I guess we will have to spend Saturday berry free then

Pat R. 2005-09-29 02:31 PM

But you'll have double the berries on Sunday!

She's part of the reason I can't come. Apparently she couldn't get out of her weekend plans, and I feel kind of bad leaving the office to play catch up. (only a little bad though). Sucks too because I was looking forward to autocrossing the Mini.

You guys have a blast!

Deede, wish could have made it. In the morning, they had a new mini running and in the afternoon a way old classic one. Guess the course was good but I don't have anything to compare it to. It was fun but my tires look like they have acne (sp?) now. Now I have all winter to think of what to do to the wagon.

sti deede 2005-10-01 05:15 PM

Heehee. Sounds like you enjoyed yourself. I wish I could have made it. Beats working and cleaning the pad any day. I'm gonna try to be more active in next years events, but that will all depend on what the future brings.

You're gonna make me cry. Stupid, stupid work. . . :(
