Ugh, somebody post something...
...before I go and do some actual work! God I'm bored!
|
Go find a definitive answer on the 06 WRX turbo question...
I'm going to go get my powder coated SubZeros at lunch... Wanna go? |
I'm gonna bring my wheels up to powder coat in december. :)
I'm gonna be coming up for the SECCS meet on December 8th. That weekend will be my christmas in Reno, because I get to got to Maryland during christmas. Woo hoo!! :D |

Call my cell phone! |
I'm looking forward to seeing the wheels...I'm itching to PC something blue...uuurgh
|
My wheels look great... I'll take some pics after work in the PC thread... Cory was there droping off his wheels to be done. Of course, he had to be difficult and pick some off the wall color so it is going to cost him a little extra... I think $5/wheel... He passed on the 3X price for the multicolor/layer look...
|
Cory's wheels are gonna be sick! I think the $5/wheel is certainly worth it.
Also, I second the quality of Dean's PC job... the wheels look good as new! |
Sweet this is gonna be awesome.
|
The lunch was good, too.
And a large, orange, drink! |

Yes, the "tye dye" look just wasn't working for me! I think the 5$ extra for the bronze is well worth it!
Thanks for your opinionative input fellas! |

^^interesting that only one of those six-wheel cars has four front wheels, instead of rears. the four front wheel setup just seems complicated with steering linkages and such...
|
it is. I've been in the process of building a model of one for about a year now.
My first attempt messed up the steering linkage, so I ended up getting a second kit to try again :p |

Those 3 axle cars had *tremendous* aero advantages over their 2 axle competition at similar grip levels. However, the added complexity resulted in mechanical failures and higher costs. And once newer high-tech radial tires started showing up, 2 axle cars were able to achieve tons of mechanical grip on super sticky tires at the expense of changing them frequently... something that takes way more time if you've got 6 tires. But what really killed the 3 axle cars was the FIA. They plain old outlawed 'em, along with things like AWD, active differentials, active aero, etc. On one hand, it kinda sucks that F1 wouldn't embrace the new levels of creative technology that sprung up in the 70's, but on the other hand, they kept the sport pure... the cars today are essentially the same cars that were running back in the 50's and 60's... low displacement, open wheel, single seat, and faster than any other road-racing car on the planet. |
I got the point of the smaller wheels, then more wheels to aid in traction. Just saying that it must have been a sum-bitch.

People on ludes should NOT drive!
That must have been some good shit. Quote:

Hello PFR.That's some funny shit

Yo, Matt. I accidentally installed my LED lights on your trailer. You owe me $100.

...Matt, I forgot to mention, the left of the 3 center running lights on the back of your trailer is out. |

Actually, I doubt Pat put his sweet lights in on my trailer, so my light is probably burnt out still. I really don't care, I want to go LED like PAT here in a few weeks. |
