Dave Chappelle's Block Party meet?

Century 14 Sparks
(12:10, 2:45, 5:20), 7:55, 10:15

Century 16 Park Lane
(12:15, 2:40, 5:05), 7:30, 9:55

Not playing Downtown

Personally, I'd rather go to Sparks than Park Lane. Want to be cheap, or full price?

JonnydaJibba 2006-03-03 11:25 AM

I want to see it, but I'm busy this weekend.

cody 2006-03-03 11:28 AM

I might be interested in the 7:55 tonight.

Nick Koan 2006-03-03 11:38 AM

Tonight 7:55 or tomorrow 12:15 would probably work.

MPREZIV 2006-03-03 11:59 AM

tomorrow would be better for moi. I believe the gf would like to see this one as well...

That is, seeing that I don't go to Tahoe to pick up a GL wagon with a bad water pump tomorrow. There's no way I'm driving a truck with a 4500lbs. worth of car/trailer behind it in ANY inclimate weather!

cody 2006-03-03 12:20 PM

I caught about 10 minutes of a special on Bravo last night where, what looked like, college students were asking Dave questions. I really enjoyed his responses. It's nice to see down to earth success stories.

I can't do tomorrow daytime since I'll be boarding on what promises to be one of the best days of the year! :)

Kevin M 2006-03-03 12:22 PM

I gotta work all night, so I'm down for tomorrow.

MikeK 2006-03-03 01:03 PM

I will go if it's tonight at 7:55. If it is tomorrow though you're all ditched.

Dean 2006-03-03 04:51 PM

Looks like we have a split decision. Lets go to Sparks tonight at 7:55, and those that can't make it go tomorrow.

Who's in for tonight besides me? 7:30 out front, or want to grab a bite to eat before at say 6:00-6:30 depending on where? Nearby is that Microbrewery, Cantina, the Nugget, In & Out... A little further is Black Rock Pizza, or the Thai place...

cody 2006-03-03 04:58 PM

MMMMm, Thai. If I leave straight from work, I can make dinner.

Good movie... Not sure what happened to Mike. Got some PM about freezing, but we didn't see him at teh movie.

There is some funny shit, some good music, some real people, more funny shit, rinse and repeat.

And I'll admit to being a Hip Hop imbecile, but there was actual melody behind the the "lyrics" and I even understood 25-40% of those. :) Some very talented musicians actually. That's not what I hear coming out of other cars at stop lights, and not what I've heard while scanning for a radio station while traveling. Who knew...

My favorite musician was the lone husky white guy in the green shirt playing guitar... OK, I think one of the horn players was white too, but he wasn't in the center of the stage.

I would have like to see more of the white folks he bussed in for the show... Maybe it just wasn't as funny as I think it would have been.

sperry 2006-03-03 10:43 PM

All I can say is that ?uestlove is a machine! He played pretty much the whole show 'cept for the Fugee's set.

That movie = a good time.

cody 2006-03-03 10:44 PM

I like old school hip hop like Pharcyde, Spearhead, and Del The Funky Homosapien. I liked most of the music in the movie a lot. Kanye West was pretty good. I've never listened to him before. Mos Def is pretty cool too. Dave was a crackup as always.

Kevin M 2006-03-03 10:59 PM

Anybody left for the saturday showing?

MPREZIV 2006-03-06 10:38 AM

I went to the affore mentioned Sat. 12:15 show. That really was a good movie! That was DEF. a concert I wish I could have attended personally!

I looked for you there Kevin, but didn't see you...

cody 2006-03-06 10:48 AM

+1 for wishing I had been at the concert!
