***New NorCal/Reno/Tahoe Subaru Site***

NorCalSTi.com!!

Hey guys and girls, I helped IWSTI make a site for northern California Subaru owners. I know it says NorCalSTi, but thats only because some Evo guys took the NorCalSubaru domain. I think this would be good for you because you could ask for help on larger, but still pretty local scale. Once we get a good base, we already have vendors intrested that will give deals. I am not asking you leave SECCS, just help us out. Post about the AutoX's and meets. Since IWSTI already has a lot of norcal people we figure it shouldnt take long for it to grow.

Thanks guys :)

Why did they make an entire new site instead of just build the regional section? I signed up, but it seems like there will be a lot of redundancy between those two sites, as well as the other big ones.

Well, we do have some other stuff planned, and we want to get most of the NorCal guys over there. There will also be a SoCal one also.

Either it'll catch on or it won't. I certainly don't think the i-club regional forums are satisfying the NorCal crew. Sure BAIC and SRIC are popular, but I can't stand to hang out there for long... too much drama. Maybe this'll fill the gap for the NorCal people that feel the way I do about BAIC/SRIC.

And I'm sure there's some Reno people that don't like SECCS. For the most part the people that run this site are a bit older, stuck up, and can certainly be condescending... at least towards those that don't agree w/ the way the majority looks at things around here. SECCS was never intended to be everything to everyone, it's the way we like it and people either like it as well and participate or they don't like it and they go elsewhere. I've got no hard feelings towards people that don't think SECCS is the best site, it's not a competition. If NorCalSti is a bit different and some of the SECCS people like it better, then by all means head on over there, and remember you're still welcome here, even if it's not as frequently.

The internet's a big place, there's plenty of room for multiple boards. I happen to like SECCS, so I consider it my "home" board. I also recognize that SECCS doesn't necessarily provide everyone with what they're looking for.

Yeah we'll see. I registered to reserve my username, but I already visit enough Subaru boards

Good luck to the board and maybe I'll check up every once in a while.
