Snowboard Bindings Question

2 Attachment(s)
This part of my bindings seems to have a broken spring and won't stay closed any more. It doesn't really effect it's functionality, but I'm afraid it will get stuck on somthing and it's just annoying cuz it flops around. Can I replace just this part and where would be a good store/website to get it? They're Burton "Custom Bindings" from like 5 years ago or somthing.

You should be able to just replace the part. Looks like it has screws holding it in.

What brand bindings? Try Google and eBay...

Burton Custom Bindings. I'm checking online but a local store that carries them would be sweet.

Think these would do it?

throw it in the gutter and get another.

You buying?

You could just buy a replacement strap. They arent too expensive. I couldnt find any on Burtons website but you can find them at most sporting good stores. I dont know if you will find a replacement "ratchet piece".

go to Bobos and ask a sales clerk. I have a set of old bindings that perhaps you can take that piece off. Are you just wanting the spring?

The spring seems non-servicable, but it looks like just one screw to pull off the buckle ratchet. I'll make sure that's the case tonight.

So Bobo's is the local place to get parts? I was there Tuesday and they didn't have any XL gloves. Any suggestions on a place to get some nice boarding gloves that won't break the bank?

R&T Board Sports in the NW (1/4 mile from Bully's where we meet on Thursdays) is a new place and it's pretty decent. Paul, the owner used to work for Avalanche and did some stuff for K2 and he knows everything. He may have the part and/or just fix it for you.

And Reno Mountain Sports in just down the street from the bobos at Bobo's.

Ha!

I ended up following Knucklesplitter's advice and going to R&T. The guy there (I want to say Mike or Dave???) had a different yet compatible buckle that was riveted onto an old strap. He drilled out the rivet, bloodied his hand, and installed it on my strap and it worked great last time I rode. They only charged me $10 and I got some new gloves there too.
