It's got a funky star torx shape and can't be removed with a normal socket. Anyone know which bit is needed and where I might find it?

Didn't someone just do this? T70, right?

Edit: yep http://www.seccs.org/forums/showthre...&highlight=t70

Yeah. I gots one... my precious...

Silly question. After looking at that picture lined up that way, I wonder if a 3/8" or 1/2" square drive would fit???

Now the tool gods might get angry if you do, but McGyver would be proud.

Don't you think I tried that. I did everthing short of making a torx shape out of playdoh and then freezing a torx pop siclke. Damn you and your blasphemous mouth. The t70 is the only way.

That's odd. . . jesubi has an 04 wrx wagon and has the older plug on there. Maybe it was introduced partway through the year.

Anyhoo, I don't need it at the moment. I just wanted to find out for next time.

Thanks anyway :D
