Attention Cory

At least Californians don't slow down to 25mph on the freeway to look at the smoke from a fire that they can't even see.

Freaking Jerks.

Nick Koan 2007-09-14 04:41 PM

Come on, be sensitive. Port of Subs is on fire.

MPREZIV 2007-09-14 04:47 PM

Bob, once again, I have to point out to you that at least 99% of the slack-jawed morons on Reno's streets and hiways, ARE FUCKING CALIFORNIANS!!!!!!!!! Just because they've registered their cars and gotten NV plates, they are no less parasitic Californian...

Some people move here and embrace the lifestyle Nevada has enjoyed for quite a long while. MOST of them move here and can't wait to fuck everything up.

Sorry Cory but I've got to correct you, most of the shit ass piss poor drivers here are from Oregon, People from Cali know how to travel with the flow of traffic. Don't know where this thread was moved from but I had too give my two cents:)

JonnydaJibba 2007-09-14 06:44 PM

Pssh, Cali drivers are the WORST! Cruising at 60 in the left lane is the dopest!

NevadaSTi 2007-09-15 05:25 AM

I've seen NV drivers cruising down residential streets in broad daylight doing 65mph! How is that make NV drivers better then CA drivers?

I only know how fast he was going because I had to tail him to get his license plate number.

because we know how dangers the roads are and so we try to get off of them as quickly as possible.

I contend that fault lies with the human race in its entirety. Stupidity knows no bounds or borders.

Very true, but Bob's argument with me on a near daily basis, is that all of the crappy drivers he sees here shitting up the roads and hiways in Reno have NV plates on their cars, so they MUST be natives. Despite that MASSIVE influx of people in to this area in the last few years, from Sac and Bay area, and even Bob himself originating from California, he says that the horrid driving practices of the people in our area come from natives.

But that's where Bob's logic fails as well. Moving here and re-registering your car within a month doesn't make you a "nevada driver" in the sense that Bob and I argue it over.

Native Nevadans are few and far between nowadays. Just out of curiosity, any others on here?

100_Percent_Juice 2007-09-15 12:24 PM

born at St. Marys biotch!

NevadaSTi 2007-09-15 03:46 PM

Portland, Oregon for me. LOL.

Grew up in the People's Republic of Kalifornistan. I do have to agree with Bob to a certain extent. Only in Nevada have I seen people on freeways drive like little old ladies in Model T's. At least in Ca. the people there actually all hit the gas at the same time, with gusto. They all think they are Richard Petty.

Kevin M 2007-09-15 04:08 PM

I prefer the California brand of bad driving to the Nevada brand, personally.

AtomicLabMonkey 2007-09-15 05:04 PM

Most drivers suck anywhere you go. They just suck differently in different areas.

Here they like to drive fast and turn left - cutting across 3 lanes of traffic from the slow lane to make the turn they didn't realize was coming up in approximately 8.2 feet and they're coming over whether or not you're in the way, they just don't give a shit.

Dean 2007-09-15 07:56 PM

In TN people stop on on freeway on ramps instead of merging. I almost plowed into the back of one the first time I went to Memphis.

zpeed 2007-09-15 09:13 PM

It happen to me almost everyday driving to work from Double-R (after IGT hill) turn right to Longley. There is about 50ft of merge lane but people decide to stop right at the turn wait for oncoming traffic.

So this is another I hate the way people drive thread, cause I'm gonna comment if it is.

M3n2c3 2007-09-16 10:08 AM

I moved here in 1995 from s california. I grew up experiencing california driving, but actually learned to drive here. I like to think I incorporate the best - and worst - of both. :P

Every state has its own brand of tomfoolery. Nevada's is strong. Saturday in fact, I had 2 road rager experiences. One on 80 with a guy who crammed himself into my spot before I merged even halfway out of my lane, I turned my head and he went ballistic and wanted to fight. I was lazy, so I had the GF tell him to get bent. Alaska plates BTW, hate the AK imports...

Right after, on Arlington, a guy came through on my right with both his drivers side tires in my lane, looking like he was going to smear the side of the OB. I honked, he went nutzorz flailing the bird and making motions as he sped away, trying to appear to be the tough guy.....I just held the horn on. If he's so pissed and tough, where is he going? I love watching dickvac's like that who decide to follow me react when I pull in to Parr blvd or RPD parking lot.

<---has driven in 46 of the lower 48, plus the UK, Scotland, and Netherlands. Wisconsin will always be the worst. Supertones should be here any day. Muahahaha...

JonnydaJibba 2007-09-17 10:19 AM

South Lake Tahoe bitch! But, I've lived here for all of my years of driving. Not sure if I should be proud of that though.

More on topic, there are sucky people being sucky drivers all over the place. Maybe we just have the highest population of super old people.

NevadaSTi 2007-09-17 10:39 AM

Jonny, I grew up in So. Lake Tahoe. 13 years to be exact.
