We might have another STI. Has Eden contacted you?

Did the guy from Tahoe ever get in touch as well?

ok... Eden has a friend who wants tuning on his STI. I told him to get in touch with you.

I might have a V1 AP for the 03 WRX if he wants to buy it for $350.

I am interested although I haven't had time to put the fuel pump and boost solenoid that Ed recommended on the car. I mainly want a reliable map for the current list of mods since I probably won't be modding it further (gasp!). I don't want to worry about winter map vs summer map, high elevation map vs low elevation map. Mod list is nothing too serious: MY06 WRX, Cobb catted downpipe, Accessport V1, VF39, Ebay TMIC, STI hood scoop splitter thingy.

I am currently using Cobb's VF39 OTS map for California 91 craptane. It runs pretty well but I feel occasional hesitation (like if it were pulling timing) and also, on my trip to the bay area a couple months ago I heard a loud pop noise coming from underneath the car, as if it had unburned fuel in the exhaust that detonated? Last time I did a datalog on it, max boost was somewhere around 14.5, less than the target of 16 +/- 0.7 (15.3 LSL), and I heard that could be attributed to the stock catback as well as the higher elevation?

:D

You will really need to at least install a fuel pump. The stock fuel pump simply can't keep up with the flow demands on that turbo. The solenoid or MBC will greatly help with response and overall performance but its not 100% necessary for a safe tune. The fuel pump is.

Thanks

That's good to know. I'll try to order one up and get it installed by next weekend. Thx for the heads up! :)

No problem, but do HIGHLY recommend getting an MBC or solenoid. Its very cheap considering the performance gains.

I was there today and watched a car get 2 maps. Awesome Car pulled well over 350WHP as I recall. Then I got my car done 06 WRX fp18G jdm V-7 tmic stock injectors and ScoobySport DP and lots of rice parts on the outside. No problems during the tune which is always a relief for me. First time I had a leaky bov and issues with my KN typhoon. Second time my inlet pipe was collapsing at 20PSI with Stock air Box. Third time is a charm. New inlet , Stock air box Stock BPV and no leaks. Boost held to 22psi and car felt great. 284 HP and torque was 334. on 91+ Torco. Did lots of pulls, Had lots of fun and Im very comfortable with ED tuning my car. The Drive home from Reno to Lake Almanor was a blast. I believe he has a spot for you day of Pain, but you should get hold of cory asap. Nice crew down there in Reno. Im very glad I went.
