duuuuude. How the hell can you drive anywhere with your tires sticking out a half inch from the fender??? That seat is intense.

I want to see a full exterior shot.

WRX06TR 2008-03-03 10:50 PM

Beastly!

cody 2008-03-04 09:08 AM

Looks great but can you actually drive it like that?

dayofpain 2008-03-04 02:23 PM

heh, the 275's stuck out alot more than that. not to mention they had a bigger circumference.

Kevin M 2008-03-04 03:05 PM

Wait, what are those? 285/30R18s?

dayofpain 2008-03-05 01:43 AM

265/35 18s on 18x9.5

Kevin M 2008-03-05 09:27 AM

Wuss. Get the good stuff!

dayofpain 2008-03-05 08:10 PM

yep if i can sell these im going to rock the 285's up front.

Kavid 2008-03-06 05:14 PM

You're Nuts! But I already knew that. Looks good though sir! That seat is mean also. Maybe soon we can meet up and compare what we've done, cause its been awhile since me, Chris or the cars!

dang...nice rims!!! Are those the Rota P45R's? Saw an article in this month's Subiesport of a GC with those rims and 240sx flares...awesome

This car?

That's the GST L Time Attack car. GST Mike on our board is the guy who owns GST and built that car. He's tuned several of our member's cars, including MattR and MikeK's autocross cars, and my Time Trials car.

Highdesertsuby 2008-03-18 07:57 AM

No, actually I was looking at the rwheels on the grey Suby with the black rims at the beginning of the thread. But I really like the GST car as well (love the flares...would like to do something similar to my GC). Saw the article in the current Subiesport mag on the GST car and the other one (Lucy from Topspeed).

Ya Topspeed used to run those. They have CCWs and Enkeis now.

Awesome car...I'd like to do a flare setup like on the Topspeed car with the Rota P45R's someday (if I can't manage to afford 22B flares sometime in the next decade).

In all seriousness, you're probably a lot better off just saving up for a 22b than trying to build one.

Highdesertsuby 2008-03-18 12:30 PM

That's probably true, which is why I like the flare setup on the Topspeed car. I understand that those flares are made for a 240sx, but the profile seems to fit the GC pretty well. In any case, all I really want from the 22B is the body kit (love those huge WRC fenders). Found a couple of sources with complete kits anywhere from $1,000 to $5,000 (entirely too expensive for abody kit). Looks great but I'm liking the $250 flare idea as well.

The flairs are going to be much cheaper:) . Your'e going to pay $1000 minimum for the 22b kit( I think thats around HTAutos price) and then you have to pay to have it properly fitted and painted to more than double the cost of the kit.

Highdesertsuby 2008-03-19 07:45 AM

Yep, which makes the flares even more attractive as an option. Certainly the 22B widebody looks better because it maintains the original GC body lines, but that kind of a cost, plus the work involved, makes it difficult to deal with. For that amount of money, I can do the flares AND install a WRX motor...and be able to have 9 in. wide rims (which is really the point).
