Paint

I guess that this isn't really technical, but I just found a scratch on my door and I want to get it fixed.
How would I go about this? its a horizontal scratch about an inch long and 1/4 in. wide.

First question is did it go through the clear coat and get the paint scratched, or just scrape some clear off? I have had several scratches in my car that only went a little into the clear and I was able to get them buffed out, not re-painted and looks as good as new. A lot cheaper too. Perks of having your best friend running a detail shop. If it did get through the paint even the slightest bit, you are going to have to go to someone like dent doctor who is mobile to come to you or a local body shop and drop it off.

Speaking of paint, any reccomendations for paint and body work in Reno? I have the usual assortment of parking lot rash and my turquoise blue is just screaming for a WR Blue respray...I am on a serious budget so I can't afford a $5,000 paint job...
