I need a new bank
Anyone have a suggestion?
I would like a smaller/ more localized bank. I gave wells fargo the big FU back in 2000 and Usbank just tried to do me wrong for the 2nd time, big time with their screw up. I'm thinking along the lines of banks like Nevada state bank, or maybe Greater Nevada credit union? Anyone have any suggestions or exp. with either of these banks:?: |
I've been with Great Basin Fed. C.U. for like 12 years now, and they've always done right by me! There's only four branches in town, but 2 of them are right out by our houses! sweet...
They're a really decent CU, in my opinion. There's a "membership required" $100 that must be held in your savings account in order to open an account, but it's still yours if you leave or anything. No checking acct. fees, lots of free little crap like checks and whatnot. |
Make sure whoever it is has FREE on-line bill pay.
That is the best thing in banking since the ATM and direct deposit! NSB has free change counting even if you don't bank there which is cool... :) (I'm with Wells Fargo, so i am no help.) |

Yea Im with Wells Fargo. I like it but hey. My buddies dad has Greater nevada CU and he likes it. I am pretty sure they have bill pay and what not cause he is an airline pilot so he is never home.

I'm at Greater Nevada CU. Been there ever since BofA screwed me. Anyway, gncu.org is their website. THey have free checking, free online banking and such. Their minimum in your savings account is only $25.
Anyway, they have never done me wrong either. |
You're getting BANK'd!
I stick with my credit union back in CA out of laziness...and they have bill pay and all the trimmings. |
I like Greater Nevada. Their commercials are retarded but I like it way more than Wells Fargo. I've had bad luck with them too.
