Wall-e is awesome

Go see it! Especially if you're a sci-fi fan, it's chock full of lonely end of the world type stuff for a Disney movie.

Also the Pixar short before hand is totally a result of too many hours playing Portal.

Nick Koan 2008-06-29 06:03 AM

Awesome. I've been totally hyped for it.

skimonkey30 2008-06-29 08:31 AM

it was really good

saw it last night

So it doesn't have a bunch of cute jokes and little moments?

but good storyline I'm sure.

I'm so jaded every pixar film is the same to me.

Tripperfx3 2008-06-29 06:21 PM

Wall-E FTW!!! I loved the into movie! I think they should give that bunny his own movie! It does have it's little cutesy moments, but it was great!

For a Pixar movie it's downright dark.

good. They have a lot of tallent in that studio. It's tough to do your own thing when you are such a huge box office draw.

JonnydaJibba 2008-06-30 10:47 AM

I think it would be cool if Pixar did something not Disney. Something truly dark.

Yeah, a pixar version of Schindler's list would be stellar.

That's the best thing I've read on the internet in about a week.

The RottenTomatos rating for it is extremely high (96%), and I have enjoyed pretty much all the Pixar movies (some more so than others).

I'll have to make sure I pay attention to the short. :)

Pixar presents: Call of Cthulhu.

Was it just me, or was anybody else turned on by that female robot. She was soft gentle and caring, but had that badass fight any bitch that tries to steal her man attitude.

I think the movie was very different. Practically no dialogue in the first half, then a political statement on humans carelessness and self-indulgence destroying the earth the second half.

Kevin M 2008-07-08 10:10 AM

Um, I think the political statement pretty much started from the first scene.

That was definitely a great movie. Worth theater fare even though it wasn't a special effects driven flick.

:?: Every second of the whole film is a special effect.

[JustForTheFunOfDisagreeingWithScott]No, "every second of the whole film is a" standard effect for the genre. A special effect would be integrating live action or perhaps3D. :P [/JFTFODWS]

Actually, they do use live action actors in the movie in parts.

Yeah, but those are fat people, not "special" people. ;)

NevadaSTi 2008-07-09 10:25 AM

My son, nephew, and Sister in Law went and saw it last night. I very much enjoyed the movie. We had a great time.

Eve was kind of a turn on, expecially her laser gun. I want one!

bign 2008-07-10 10:23 PM

^^^^^ see that's what i'm sayin

Nick Koan 2008-07-14 09:47 PM

Just saw it tonight. Great movie.

And the short before hand was awesome too :D

Kavid 2008-07-16 05:12 PM

Is it me or does that little guy kind of look like a mini-me animated version of Johnny 5 in the old Short Circuit movies?! Striking resemblance!

The interview with the authors said he was mostly designed after a pair of binoculars and that the Johnny 5 resemblance was just coincidental.
