Eh homes... you seen a girl ina green dress walkin' by here?

ScottyS 2008-10-09 08:29 AM

This seems like the perfect thread for this question: Cory, will you be at the meet tonight, and do you still have that extra impact?

MPREZIV 2008-10-09 11:13 AM

No, dude, sorry! I'll be at a stupid fucking "shop dinner" with all the guys in service here, and our douche bag GSM... He's probably gonna tell us all that our store isn't selling any cars, and although parts and service are the ONLY departments in this dealership that are keeping the bills paid, we're all getting massive pay cuts so that he can afford to buy another house in Montrose...

or something fucked up like that.

:unamused:

How's that teaching opportunity working out?

MPREZIV 2008-10-09 11:45 AM

Still just kinda waiting on the Advisory Board over there to get together! It surely hasn't been forgotten tho, they've just always got a ton of stuff to get organized at the beginning of the school year. I've been in touch with the program director a few times in the last couple weeks tho, and he's WAY excited about trying to get me in there!

Light @ end of my tunnel man.

Crap dude, sounds like you've got a lot on your plate.

My God Father was a Master Saab Tech at the local dealeship where I grew up. He taught autoshop at the JC on the weekends. Is that kinda what you're lookin at doing Cory?

MPREZIV 2008-10-10 06:32 AM

Pretty much. I'd be starting out with evening General Auto classes, just a couple nights a week. They're in need of good, full time teachers tho, so if things end up working out, (they like me, I like them) I'd likely end up being offered a full time teaching position at TMCC. F*ing sweet...

Oh, and much to my surprise, the dinner turned out being just dinner! No underlying evil motives or anything...

cody 2008-10-10 07:35 AM

Awesome! Good luck with that. :)

Highdesertsuby 2008-10-10 01:37 PM

hey, what kind of rims are on that 2-tone legacy in the pic below? Those are cool...

Nick Koan 2008-10-10 01:46 PM

I think that makes the dinner even more evil!

I saw evil motives. It was a bribe for the shitty work conditions, it was the GM saying, "Hey I know you're are underpaid, and treated like slave labor, so let me buy you dinner and beer to boost morale." Which is why I didn't go, I'll enjoy my misery thank you.

That's right I turned down a free meal. Blows your mind doesn't it.

Actually, they're ALT 362's, and it was a factory color, but it's the only set I've ever seen.
They called it "sport yellow" or something but it's a sunset orange in person :D

Nick Koan 2008-10-11 01:42 AM

sunset of my ass
