Austin's Resturaunt - can't die soon enough

So, the fhwgwgad at Austin's brought their service to a whole new level tonight.

So, instead of consistently forgetting my water (like usual) he decided to forget my entire meal. And I'm pretty sure he was going to try to charge me for it.

Also, I saw him drowning a bag of puppies, participating in predatory lending practices and I believe I heard him mutter something antisemitic to the mashed potatoes.

That place sucks out loud.

It did hit a new high in lows today.

As I was leaving, the waiter was stunned that people left after waiting for 45 minutes for their food...

I was there early and one of the first to order, my food still took over 30 minutes and I had to ask for water 3 times and iced tea refills almost constantly...

I had big ass salad once there with Doritos on it that was pretty good, but really anyone could do that.

they still suck.

Next time I'm going to Joe Bobs and ordering a meal to go... then bringing it into Austins.

Dean 2008-10-17 08:48 PM

That salad is good, but the food in general doesn't suck, but the service has to be some of the worst on the planet.

I'm going to cockpunch Austin.

Nick, why would you eat at Austin's? Isn't the once-a-month SCCA meeting punishment enough?

Nick Koan 2008-10-17 10:58 PM

It was the street survival meeting.

You certainly wouldn't find me there of my own free will.

Thats wierd. The Austin's in Incline Village is great. Good food and service. I was under the impression that they were owned by the same people but i guess that still doesnt mean the same service everywhere.

It's because for some reason, we get Captain Service every time we use that room. I quite honestly can't understand how that guy can still be that bad at his job, and still have it. In general, the menu is way too small and somewhat overpriced, but that's common enough.

Seriously, that back room is the only thing positive about that place.
