Waddaya think?

I think the wrench thing is cool.

I like the idea of the wrench. I just don't like where it is under the S.

cody 2008-10-20 01:04 PM

^I agree. :(

Some quicky MS Paint mods. I dunno about these...

Here's my 5-minute take on moving the wrench.

Dean 2008-10-20 04:05 PM

I like what Scott did. I would be tempted to open a bit of space between the S and T and have the left end of wrench filling in that space, probably still partially hidden by the S and T.

100_Percent_Juice 2008-10-20 06:33 PM

Scott's is a little better but that white wrench draws your eye right to the background. Now that I see kind of what you want I will try to make up a few things later tonight if I get a chance.

JonnydaJibba 2008-10-21 10:53 AM

I like the wrech design. My suggestion would be maybe make it longer and angle it not as steeply? Or perhaps make the end under the S be closed as opposed to open?

Take 2?

100_Percent_Juice 2008-10-21 02:43 PM

^ I like that way better.

cody 2008-10-21 04:28 PM

It would be kind of cool if the left end of the wrench was on a bolt that was sunk into the S, maybe in the bottom middle of the S.

That would be cool.

But I've only got about 5 minutes a day while at work to screw around in Illustrator!

Dean 2008-10-21 04:48 PM

Since it is a line/flare wrench, maybe the top end of the S should come up out of it... That end can be smaller than the C side as well if it works better.

Here is the one I'm going with... with some grayscale and color. The wrench definitely looks better as a different color. May still play with wrench a little still.

Kevin M 2008-10-24 03:13 PM

Middle left looks best IMO. The color combos would look very odd as a sticker on a car.

100_Percent_Juice 2008-10-24 03:42 PM

2nd down right side. The fade on the wrench is great. You can see the wrench without it drawing too much attention away from the name.

knucklesplitter 2008-10-24 03:52 PM

I agree with both of you. Those two are the next round. Some of the other color combos really suck.

sperry 2008-10-24 03:59 PM

I'm having a hard time w/ the curve on the K and the H on the versions w/ white outlining. And there's something weird about the way the left side of the wrench shows behind the S.

...but without a bunch of time to screw around with it myself in Illustrator, I don't really have any good suggestions. I will say I like the two on the right with the black outlining better than the others, even though I don't like the colors a ton. What about making the outlining thicker on the big letters, making all the letters white filled, and leaving the wrench gray?
