No More WRX

It was a depressing day, but I traded in my WRX. I had to for the better and future home purchase/family, plus I was at a 21% interest rate and a payment over $500 a month. I at least kept it in the Subaru family and got an 09 Impreza 2.5i Sedan in the same silver in my car. This non turbo car is going to take some getting used to, but it saves me about $150 on the payment and $50 on insurance monthly. But if anyone needs or wants/needs a clean 05 Silver WRX it is at Lithia Subaru. I had some nice Rotas on my 05 WRX that I kept, does anyone know if they changed the lug pattern and if they will fit on my new car?

Just take a wheel off and find out. IIRC its the same.

I think its the same. Only the STi (not counting 04) has the different bolt pattern.

21% !!!! anything to get out of that.

It sucks to end up with a slower car, but those 2.5i's are no slouches... keep in mind the other cars are in that class pretty much have no low-end torque, and certainly no AWD... so you've got a damn nice ride still and $200/mo in your pocket.

And like the others said, those Rotas should bolt right on.

What Scott said, that's still a sweet ride.

Now that I have been driving it for a few days and especially in the snow this morning, I think I am content with it for the most part. It is a little faster than I thought (though I do miss that Subaru Rumble), though it is nothing like my old one in that category it only seems even remotely close when I am going down the big McCarran hill by Caughlin Ranch all the way in it  . Thank you all for the support, I knew someone would understand. I hope to make a meet after the first of the year, I've been very busy doing music and hope to have 2 new albums out by late spring/early summer. What's new with you guys?

2 albums? Do we get a preview? Update your info with your new slower car. ;)

Dewey 2008-12-15 07:07 PM

ahh, that sucks. seems to be a recurring theme.
