where could i find a turboback for an 09 wrx sedan that will pass smog? it would be the same for an 08 sedan too right?

I would look on NASIOC for reviews before I decided on an exhaust if I were you. There might not be a ton of info because your car is so new.

Make sure you are tuned for the exhaust as well. I use a Cobb ap ver.2. This is a great unit if you plan on just doing basic mods. If you plan to go further than you will probably want a custom tune.
