Important! SECCS is changing servers!

Just to let you know, today SECCS is moving servers. I will be locking the forums in a few hours and making one last database backup.

There will be a delay in service while the DNS changes propigate. It usually takes about 12 hours. During this time, "www.seccs.org" will be changed from pointing to the current board to the new one. Until the change has propigated to your DNS server, you will not have access to the message board.

Our new host will allow me to setup some cool new features, like email and FTP accounts for our members! Plus, one of these days the new code will be up and running.

Once the new site is up, please let me know if you have any issues. If you can't access the new board within the next 24-48 hours, you can reach me by email at sperry@doink.net

Thanks to Justin for hosting us for the last several months! It's too bad things didn't work out for Mammoth Hosting. :(

w00t! Looks like the move went okay. At least the forums are working, but I've still got to move a lot of content.

Forums seem intact. Good server move Scott.

I'm just worried about server speed.... the forums seem slower than they used to be. :(

MattR 2003-11-15 10:11 AM

Looks great so far, Speed seems unchanged as best I can tell.

The new server's only $30/year, so it's not really breaking the bank!

BTW: you're "Soebahrue" sig is killing me!

ZER026D 2003-11-18 10:28 AM

Our new host is www.hoststock.com, recommended by Dean. Unlimited bandwidth, unlimited space, $33/year. Not a bad deal, except the servers seem to bog or go down occationally. But at that price I won't complain too much.

ZER026D 2003-11-18 11:11 AM

Hmm I cant have down servers at all so I will just stay where I am for now I can set up another acount for my forums, pics and stuff. It is a real good deal for sure.
