Wanted: Stock speakers
 

The red L is almost done and ready for college life with Rachel. :)

Last thing it could use (Besides AC :) ) is a replacement front 2-way stock speaker, though anything will do.

The tweeter is still fine, so it is rather funny when you shift balance and fader to that corner.

Any out there from upgrades or part outs?

They are 3 screw 5 or 6 inch, can't remember which and I already put the door back together after fixing the door latch and gouging my finger. :(

I think STIs are separates, but she will take what I can get. :) I can probably make something work. Heck, I'll put them in my STI to replace the junk Jerry had put in and give those to her. :)

Still looking for a plug and play stock '2-way though...

I have my stock set at my parents' place in Carson, and I'm going down there on Monday for jury duty :mad: But I could pick them up. I dunno how much they'd be worth to you tho... ;)

They are not worth anything to me. ;)

This is as close to a zero budget project as possible. I am donating all the many hours of labor so Rachel has a safe, functional car for college.

If they are as I described, 2-ways (or 3-ways) with 3 screw flanges, great, She will take them! A matched pair would rock. (Pun intended.)

If not, thanks, I'll keep them in mind if a match doesn't show up.

If you don't know what you have or care and just want them out of your garage, throw them in he car and bring them to the meet or let me know how to get them and I'll figure it out. :)

Haha, that's what they're worth to me also. Ok, I'll grab them while I'm down there. If you get a pair before then, you won't hurt my feelings. I'll let you know what they look like after I pick them up.

I grabbed the speakers today. They have 3 holes, and I'm 99% sure they're the fronts. I dunno what happened to the other 2 speakers, so I can't compare for sure.

Wait, so do you still need my speaker?

Yes he does. I grabbed the rears apparently. At least I didn't say 100% sure, cuz then I would have been an asshole...

are the rears in good shape? are they free? i have some wall mart speakers in my rally car but they are starting to blow (pun possible?)

OK, I pulled an extra and have it ready.

Cool. Is it a 2-way with 3 mounting holes and about a 8" pigtail? If so, perfect! plug and play!!!!

What appear to be 1 way rears I got from Rob have plugs right on the speaker itself. No pigtails and no accessible solder points.

If Scotty has a match, great, I don't have to figure something out and they will be passed on to another needy Subaru owner or returned if you prefer.

There are all sorts of parts handed around the club. From tires to electronics and I know of at least one wagon rear strut brace and a few sway bars that have been on multiple cars that are freely passed around on a semi-regular basis. I can't count how many club member's cars, PC's, networks, etc... I've worked on. :)

People helping each other out is what the club is about in addition to an excuse to get out on Thursday and BS.

No I was serious, I don't care if you were dissing them. I really don't get upset, don't worry about it :) I reap the benefits of this club so often, that I try to give back to whoever whenever I can. I just fall a lil short every once in a while lol
