Try again with a big boy keyboard.

And they are bad if they leak.

Oh, welcome...

royboy 2009-11-17 11:38 PM

what do you mean by big boy key board

Dean 2009-11-18 07:36 AM

You are not texting with your friends, you are making a first impression on a forum. What you type is all we have to go by as to who you are. What do you think your first post says about you to the rest of us?

I am not trying to be a jerk, but capital letters, spaces, grammar, spelling, complete words, etc... all make a difference. If you can't take the time to write a decent post, why should we take the time to help you?

And if you describe your problem with symptoms and observations, we are more likely to be able to help.

And I was serious. Unless a water pump is leaking out of the shaft or housing, it is likely working fine.

Lets try not to forget that this guy is new and there are still people in this world who are not forum dwellers. I think he needs to be given a little slack.

Roy, what is your car doing to make you think that your water pump is bad?

cody 2009-11-18 12:28 PM

Hey Dean, try to keep it on topic in the tech threads, please.

It has nothing to do with newness to anything. Spelling, grammar and such are a common courtesy when meeting new people in any environment especially if you want them to do something for you. You are not going to get most jobs by walking in looking like crap and saying "wa up, yo. hey fo da job?".

And I have been on topic. Every post has had something related to answering his "wter pump" question until this one. :P

What's it doing: overheating, leaking coolant, not heating up?

By "Subaru gt" do you mean a legacy gt? I looked at subarugenuineparts.com, and it seems that the 96 legacy, 96 impreza, and 2005 impreza all have the same water pump. I just so happen to have a brand new water pump from that site that I forgot to install when I did my cams. I'll sell it to you for less than their price if you'd like. Hell, you can even make sure it'll work on the car before you pay me, if you want. PM me if you want it

I think dean Scarred royboy away. I think royboy was going to do a bunch of RallyCrossing too :(
